The word for today is - Search !

 

God doesn't focus on our outward appearance. It is what's on the inside that matters to Him, thats where change must take place.Read Luke 16:15,And he said unto them, You are they who justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. Man looks to the outward appearance. Lets read about the story of David, a young man that was chosen by God.The Bible says David was a man after God’s own heart. Why did God call him this? Basically, it was because David chose to follow God with all of his heart. David deliberately put God first above everything else. David made a point to keep his heart pure and devoted to God. Read 1 Samuel 16:7-13,  But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.The word of God says, to Love the Lord with all your heart, read Deuteronomy 6:5,And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.We must get understanding first, read Mark 12:32-33,And the scribe said unto him, Well, Teacher, you have said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. Thank you Lord for your word.
