Tribute to African Americans this Month !It's February, the month that is dedicated as Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. history, including the civil rights movement and their artistic, cultural and political achievements.To honor someone is to show him or her the respect and how much we value them. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.Today we're giving honor to Mr.Octavius V. Catto, born 1839 and on October 10, 1871, he was murder. I was watching the news and then it came across the television screen Mr. Octavius Catto black history in Philly. The funeral of Mr.Octavius Catto created a moment of mourning that provided a distinct departure from the violence and rioting that led to his demise. The service, held in the City Armory at Broad and Race Streets, was a national event with attendees from numerous states including Delaware, Washington, New York, and Mississippi. The funeral procession, beginning at 7 a.m. in the drizzling rain at Broad and Race Streets and ending at Lebanon Cemetery in Philadelphia (the remains were later brought to Eden Cemetery in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, after Lebanon closed), included regimental guards, students, faculty and graduates from the Institute for Colored Youth, preachers, politicians, and more than 5,000 mourners. Catto was eulogized in pulpits throughout the country. We have to teach and tell our children the importance of black history not just one month a year. For more than a century after his death, Octavius Catto has been remembered for his achievements and sacrifices. Schools, Masonic lodges, and university residence halls carry his name, and he has been inducted into the Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame. In 2007, the Octavius V. Catto Memorial Fund erected a headstone at his gravesite in Collingdale with the inscription “The Forgotten Hero.” In 2010, Temple University Press published a new Catto biography, Tasting Freedom: Octavius Catto and the Battle for Equality in Civil War America.  In 2011, the City of Philadelphia contributed $500,000 toward a $2 million fund-raising campaign for a monument at City Hall to honor Catto, his life, and the work that ended in tragedy on Election Day 1871. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.Today we're giving honor to Mother's and Father's. Let us look at this spirituality, God has commanded us to obey His Word first. For it is written in Leviticus 19:3,“Each of you must show great respect for your mother and father, and you must always observe my Sabbath days of rest. I am the LORD your God. Honor your father and mother beloved Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”, which is the first commandment with a promise, “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy a long life on the earth". I spoke yesterday about the respect for the elderly. Let's understand that respect starts at home. We cannot respect anyone else if we don't have respect for our parents or ourselves. For it is written in Proverbs 21:23,Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. We all need to know when to speak and when to be silent. Now, understand that Honoring your father and mother is being respectful in word, in our thoughts and actions. For it is written in Proverbs 17:28,Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. It's okay to disagree, but it's not okay to disrespect your parents nor others.The Word of God tells us that power is in the tongue it's life or death. For it is written in Proverbs 18:20-21,From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied.The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Stay with me, yesterday I spoke about the 21st century generation they're almost unrecognizable to us all, but their words can be very disrespectful too. Some lessons need to be addressed at home with families before leaving the house. We have to make changes with our words, actions and deeds Children of God. Seniors should be honored daily, God has commanded us to rise up and give honor to them. For it is written in Leviticus 19:32, “‘Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord. We're to respect all people, but there is a certain type of respect that we should give always to the elderly. For it is written in Isaiah 46:4,Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Old age is a blessing from the Lord. Do they stand when a senior citizen enters the room or hold the doors for senior citizens? In other parts of the world, this still happens, but not always here in America. The 21st century is almost unrecognizable to adults of the older generation. Let's think about this generation, what is it like to be a young person in 2021-? This 21st generation depends on their ways and technology more. What would the world be like, if people would show more respect, kindness and talk things out ? The Baby Boomers are living longer and getting older now. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.This week we're giving honor to Ms.Mae C. Jemison. An American engineer, physician, and former NASA astronaut. Ms.Mae Jemison was born in nearby Decatur, Ala. on October 17, 1956, she's  64 years old. An academic star from an early age, her parents moved to Chicago for better educational opportunities. She graduated from Stanford in 1977 and got her medical degree from Cornell in 1981. She practiced medicine for a little while, did some medical research and even joined the Peace Corps. Then in 1987, she did a complete 180 and did something that a black girl born in Alabama in 1956 could only otherwise dream of when she became the first black woman to be accepted into NASA's astronaut training program.On Sept. 12, 1992 she became the first black woman in space, when she was one of seven astronauts aboard the Endeavour. It would be her only space flight and Jemison left NASA in 1993 to teach and start her own research and technology firm. She also has another first. She was the first former NASA astronaut to actually appear on any of the “Star Trek” series episodes – taking her rightful place alongside Uhura. For it is written in Psalm 32:8, The scriptures are full of stories from the past that educate us and instruct us. God provided for us with his direction in Scripture (Word). We are also instructed to turn towards Him and not to stay in past mistakes. We have to move forward and to forgive and forget.  Don't look back like Lot's wife did, walk by faith and trust God's timing, plan and purpose. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.This week we're giving honor to Ms.Rebecca Lee Crumpler, she was born February 8, 1831, in Delaware, she died March 9, 1895, in Hyde Park, Boston, MA. After working eight years as a nurse, Ms.Rebecca Lee Crumpler began medical school at the New England Female Medical College in 1860. This school was the first in the United States to train female doctors, Harvard wrote. She graduated in 1864 as the first Black woman to receive an M.D. in the U.S. At the time, only 300 of the 54,543 physicians in the U.S. were women, and none of them were Black. After opening a medical clinic in Boston, she met women and children who lived in poverty, often asking no payment for her services. For it is written in Proverbs 19:17,Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. Amen ! She was a servant looking to help meet the needs of the poor or needy people. For it is written in Deuteronomy 15:7-8, If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. Rather, be open handed and freely lend them whatever they need. This is a very powerful verse, Children of God. Can you imagine how those in the New Testament felt when God called Saul, the killer of Christians to salvation? Saul repented, turned from his wicked ways and became Paul one of the most dynamic leaders for Christ in his time. Who are we to judge whom God will use in such a time as this? I have a co-worker that had a vision for the kids in the neighborhood.The students that needed extra help in learning. The spirit of Yahweh gave him a vision of hope for the neighborhood's children to learn. So, He walked out by faith believing and trusting in the call for help. It was him and his true friend that made a sacrifice for the students from one area that everyone gave up on (The Hood). He would visit the homes and walk into the neighborhood looking for students. He also sat at the dinner table and ate with the families. This is a history month for all God's children, it's by the spirit that lives in you. He's a man that needs to be honored today Mr. Bogash. Understand this beloved children of God, honor is due to all God's elect to do His Will. Amen ! For it is written in 1 Corinthians 1:25-27, For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. I'm speaking the truth in love, I'm not here to offend anyone. Most of us know the verse; "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many."So, this month ask yourself, what have you done to help someone along the way, so your living is not in vain? Tribute to African Americans this Month ! Let us get understanding first, there is no mention of Ash Wednesday in the Bible. But there is a tradition of donning ashes as a sign of penitence that predates Jesus. In the Old Testament, Job repents “in dust and ashes,” and there are other associations of ashes and repentance in Esther, Samuel, Isaiah and Jeremiah. Now, Ash Wednesday is important because it marks the start of the Lenten period leading up to Easter, when Christians believe Jesus was resurrected. Ms.Maya Angelou was a civil rights activist, poet and award-winning author known for her acclaimed 1969 memoir, 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,' and her numerous poetry and essay collections. Ms.Maya Angelou was an American author, actress, screenwriter, dancer, poet and civil rights activist best known for her 1969 memoir, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which made literary history as the first nonfiction bestseller by an African American woman. Angelou received several honors throughout her career, including two NAACP Image Awards in the outstanding literary work (nonfiction) category, in 2005 and 2009. For it is written in Hosea 4:6,My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. This week we're giving honor to Claudette Colvin. Everyone knows the story of Ms.Rosa Parks and her brave stand or, sit on that Alabama bus. But Ms.Parks wasn’t the first to do so.On March 2, 1955, a 15-year-old Claudette Colvin was riding home from school when the city bus driver told her to give up her seat to a white passenger. She refused, saying, “It’s my constitutional right to sit here as much as that lady. I paid my fare, it’s my constitutional right.” Colvin felt compelled to stand her ground. “I felt like Sojourner Truth was pushing down on one shoulder and Mrs.Harriet Tubman was pushing down on the other,saying, ‘Sit down girl!’ I was glued to my seat,” she later told Newsweek. In 1955, a Black young girl (woman) refused to yield her seat to a white person on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. She was removed from the bus and arrested, her ordeal sparking legal action that led to the end of Alabama's segregated bus laws and enabled a widespread civil rights movement to pick up steam.You may think you know the story, but this one isn't about Rosa Parks, it's about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old who made a stand against entrenched segregation nine months before Parks did, but saw her shining moment eclipsed as other narratives of the era took root in the public consciousness. Colvin sought to counter racial injustice at an early age. Born in September 1939, Colvin was raised by her great-aunt and uncle in rural Pine Level, Alabama, before moving to Montgomery at age 8. A bright, inquisitive child, she quickly caught on to the racial divisions that were more glaring than they had been in close-knit Pine Level, with the visual and verbal cues apparent throughout the bustling city serving to keep Blacks in their lane. Tribute to African Americans this Month ! It's February, the month that is dedicated as Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. history, including the civil rights movement and their artistic, cultural and political achievements.To honor someone is to show him or her the respect and how much we value them. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.The third Monday of every February is a day to remember the Nation's Presidents especially the first one. In history, the day's official name is Washington's Birthday after President George Washington, whose birth date was February 22, 1732. So, today we're giving honor to the first two black women that ran for the highest office in the country. Mrs.Charlene Mitchell, presidential candidate of the Communist party, in 1968. Although it’s been widely and incorrectly reported that Mrs.Chisholm was the first Black woman to run for president, Mrs.Charlene Mitchell actually beat her to it. Just 38 years old at the time, Mrs.Mitchell entered the 1968 presidential race on the Communist Party ticket with running mate Mr.Michael Zagarell, the party’s national youth director. Mrs.Mitchell’s platform included plans to fight racial and economic injustice, but she only appeared on the ballot in two states. Understand that we have to show love for others just like Jesus Christ and make sacrifices for others. People with strong moral character make sacrifices for the greater good for others. For it is written in 1 John 4:14-16, And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is a lesson for us all in the world, examine yourselves people. For it is written in 2 Corinthians 13:5, Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? We walk by faith, not by sight. We have to live and believe that it's a purpose for our lives. Now let's honor Mrs.Shirley Chisholm, With the motto “unbought and unbossed,” in 1972, Mrs.Chisholm ran for president four years after Mrs.Mitchell. She had already made history when she became the first African American congresswoman in 1968, after having served in the New York State Assembly. In her campaign, Mrs.Chisholm sought to advocate for low-income people, women and other marginalized groups. She also prioritized issues related to the employment and education sectors, as she had a background in education.“She realized at a certain point that nobody's going to give her an opportunity unless she makes the opportunity happen for herself, and she could do that because she had been employed as a school teacher, she had saved money and had a stable home life, and she was supported by a group of political activists in her political district,” Lynch says. But, she adds, Mrs.Chisholm’s success in politics would not have happened without the social changes that the civil rights movement had fostered. Mrs.Chisholm died in 2005. Let us pray for the oppressed, those who are persecuted,for freedom and liberty for all, for unity and injustice, for healing in the land, the minds and hearts of all God's people. The understanding of true love for it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:3-7, If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Abba Father thank you for "YOUR WORD." God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.This weekend we're giving honor to the last- six men who served as Tuskegee Airmen Pilots. We're honoring Mr. Lucius Theus born 1922- died 2007, Mr.Charles McGee born 1919- he's still living today and Mr.Roscoe Brown (1922-2016).Mr. Theus, is the first and only mission support officer of the Tuskegee Airmen to be promoted to general and the third black Air Force general after Mr.Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., and Mr.Daniel Chappie James. During World War II, he served as a member of the 332nd Fighter group. After World War II, he quickly ascended the ranks as an Air Force personnel officer. After a race riot between black and white enlisted men and noncommissioned officers at Travis Air Force Base in 1971,Mr.Theus was called in to administer programs to address equal opportunity and communication across races in the military, initiatives that had first been inspired nearly 30 years earlier through the success of the Tuskegee Airmen. Mr.Theus became the first African American combat support officer promoted to the rank of general officer. Also,Mr.Charles McGee is 101 years old, born December 7th. After graduating from flight training in Tuskegee in 1943, Mr.Charles McGee was assigned to the 332nd Fighter group, in which he flew 137 combat missions. By the time he retired in 1973 from the Air Force at the rank of Colonel, he had flown a combined 409 combat missions in World War II, Korea and the Vietnam War—more than any other Air Force pilot. Along with Mr.Roscoe Brown, Mr.McGee flew the P-51B Mustang and was one of the Red Tailed Angels that escorted heavy bombers over targets in occupied Europe.To celebrate his 100th birthday in 2019,Mr. McGee piloted a private jet from Maryland to Dover Air Force Base, where he was met by 100 service members from the 436th Airlift Wing. Mr. McGee is one of the oldest living Tuskegee Airmen. During World War II, Mr. Roscoe Brown flew 68 combat missions, downing a German jet outside Berlin during an escort mission in 1945. As a part of the Tuskegee Airmen’s bomber-escort missions in the 99th Fighter Squadron, he was one of three Red Tailed Angels. In 2007, Mr. Brown and five other Tuskegee airmen accepted the Congressional Gold Medal on behalf of the nearly 1,000 black men who went through the Tuskegee Airmen program between 1941 and 1945. Mr. Brown also earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his bravery and skill. In an oral history, Mr. Brown said: “Many of the bomber pilots [we escorted] said, ‘We saw the Red Tail P-51s and they were our saviors. Many of them did not know,most of them did not know, [we] were African Americans. After the war, Mr.Brown became an educator, social activist and one of the most prominent caretakers of the Tuskegee Airmen legacy until his death at age 94. God wants a world where respect and honor of others is the way of life of its citizens. For it is written in Romans 12:8-10, If it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. We must show love towards one another daily. We must encourage one another with words that build up each other. We need to help one another in this unknown season. For it is written in John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.This week we're giving honor to the six men who served as Tuskegee Airmen Pilots. We're honoring Mr. Daniel Chappie James (born 1920, passed away 1978). Mr.Daniel James, the first Black four-star general in the Air Force, became a member of the Tuskegee Airmen in 1943, but spent World War II stateside as a flight instructor. During the Korean War, he flew 101 combat missions. As a vice commander of the Eighth Tactical Fighter Wing in Thailand, Mr. James flew 78 combat missions during the Vietnam War. In 1970, as the commander of the 727,2nd Fighter Training Wing at Wheelus Air Force Base in Libya, Mr. James had a memorable standoff with Muammar el-Qaddafi, who had recently led a successful military coup of Libya’s government. Qaddafi was attempting to seize the base when he encountered Mr. James outside its gates.“ I had my .45 in my belt. I told him to move his hand away. If he had pulled that gun, he never would have cleared his holster,” Mr. James said.The encounter passed without incident and Mr. James succeeded in removing 4,000 people and $21 million in assets from the facility. He died on February 25, 1978, a month after retiring from the Air Force. As I'm studying the history of the six Tuskegee Airmen Pilots, I had to think about their faith, strength and encouragement towards each other. Believing that with God's plan and purpose for their lives made everything successful. Getting understanding that Emmanuel is with us. For it is written in Joshua 1:7-9,“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” God has commanded us to stand firm in our faith, believing that everything will work out for our good. For it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6,Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. We're honoring Mr.Charles Alfred ‘Chief’ Anderson born (1907-1996)died. Known as the father of Black aviation, Mr.Charles Anderson was Tuskegee’s chief civilian flight instructor during World War II. In 1932, after receiving his pilot’s license, he was the only Black flight instructor in the United States. In the coming years, along with another Black aviation pioneer, Dr. Albert Forsythe, Anderson completed several “firsts” for African American pilots. Among their feats,Mr. Anderson and Mr.Forsythe made the first transcontinental round trip by black pilots: Atlantic City to Los Angeles in 1933. In 1941, as the chief aviation instructor at Tuskegee, Mr.Anderson gave First Lady Mrs.Eleanor Roosevelt a flight during her visit to Tuskegee. She had heard, in her words, “that colored people couldn’t fly,” but after their short trip could say, “Well, I see you can fly all right!” Coverage of her visit helped cement support in Washington for the program. During World War II,Mr.Anderson was Tuskegee’s ground commander and chief aviation instructor for the 99th Pursuit Squadron. After World War II, Chief Anderson continued training pilots at Moten Field in Tuskegee.In 2014, he became the first Tuskegee Airman to be featured on a U.S. postage stamp. For it is written in Romans 12:10, Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. We have to be devoted to each other in words and in deeds of other people. Whenever we serve others, we're serving " God's Will." Most of us know the verse, for it is written in Mark 10:45, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Understand, when Jesus said this, He was talking about Him serving the "Will of Our Heavenly Father"and for the believers of Christ Jesus.The Bible may be what we call the "Written Word of God,"but let's understand that Jesus is the "Living Word of God." We have to realize that it's "Living and Active" still today. We must read it and meditate on the Word of the Lord day and night, so we can get the full complete revelation of God's Word, that we have in Christ Jesus. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth.This week we're giving honor to the six men who served as Tuskegee Airmen Pilots. We're honoring Mr.Benjamin O. Davis, Jr. (1912-2002) today. At a time when African Americans faced overwhelming racism and discrimination in the military, Mr.Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., son of the Army’s first Black general, built a historic career: One of a small handful of African Americans to be admitted to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point since Reconstruction—and the only one there during his own tenure—he went on to command the Tuskegee Airmen, serve in three wars and became a general himself. In 1941, when the War Department began training Black pilots at the Tuskegee Airfield, he became one of the first five pilots to receive his wings. During World War II, he served as commander of both Tuskegee units to see combat. Mr. Davis earned several honors, including the Silver Star. When Mr.Davis was promoted to Brigadier General in 1954, he became the first African American general in the Air Force. In 2002, he was promoted to full general on the retired list in a White House ceremony with President Bill Clinton. In 2019, the U.S.Air Force Academy named its airfield after him. I believe that God has a plan and a purpose for our lives and He's going to fulfill it. We don't need to be afraid , God is with us always, and He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. His Word is truth, He cannot lie. For it is written in Joshua 10:8, The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.” Fear is one of Satan's most popular weapons that he uses against people (the mind) your thoughts. The most common lie that Satan uses to instill fear into people is that God isn't near. God is Emmanuel, which means God is with us. The truth, God is and always has been with us. He is omnipresent, which means He is everywhere all the time. For it is written in 2 Peter 3:9,The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth. Today we honor Mr. Jackie Robinson, for this is the Super Bowl LV weekend. So, we give "Honor" to sports by respecting Mr.Jackie Robinson today, who was born on January 31, 1919, in Cairo, Georgia, to a family of sharecroppers. He was the youngest of five children. After his father abandoned the family in 1920, they moved to Pasadena, California, where his mother, Mallie, worked a series of odd jobs to support herself and her children. Though Pasadena was a fairly affluent suburb of Los Angeles at the time, the Robinsons were poor, and Jackie and his friends in the city’s small Black community were often excluded from recreational activities. Mr.Jackie Robinson was an African American professional baseball  player who became the first player who broke Major Leagues Baseball’s infamous “color barrier” when he started at first base for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. Until that time, professional ballplayers of color suited up for teams only in the Negro Leagues. Today, April 15th is observed as Jackie Robinson Day throughout the Nation. Scriptures to Meditate on this weekend ! It's February, the month that is dedicated as Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. history, including the civil rights movement and their artistic, cultural and political achievements.To honor someone is to show him or her the respect and how much we value them. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth. Today we honor Mr.Nelson Mandela. Mr.Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born in Transkei, South Africa on July 18, 1918. His father was Mr.Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa of the Thembu Tribe. Mr.Mandela himself was educated at University College of Fort Hare and the University of Witwatersrand where he studied law. He joined the African National Congress in 1944 and was engaged in resistance against the ruling National Party’s apartheid policies after 1948. He went on trial for treason in 1956-1961 and was acquitted in 1961. This is what he spoke, Our march to freedom is irreversible. We must not allow fear to stand in our way. - Nelson Mandela ! This is an example of true faith right ? On June 11,1964 Mr.Mandela and seven other accused on trial for sabotage they were convicted and the next day sentenced to life imprisonment. For it is written in Romans 1 :17, For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: " The righteous will live by faith." Just a little more about Nelson Mandela, in 1952 he was chosen as the National Volunteer-in-Chief of the Defiance Campaign with Maulvi Cachalia as his deputy. This campaign of civil disobedience against six unjust laws was a joint programme between the ANC and the South African Indian Congress. He and 19 others were charged under the Suppression of Communism Act for their part in the campaign and sentenced to nine months of hard labour, suspended for two years. He had a two-year diploma in law on top of his BA allowed Mandela to practise law, and in August 1952 he and Oliver Tambo established South Africa’s first black law firm, Mandela & Tambo. On August 12, 1988 he was taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. After more than three months in two hospitals he was transferred on  December 7, 1988 to a house at Victor Verster Prison near Paarl where he spent his last 14 months of imprisonment. He was released from its gates on Sunday,February 11,1990, nine days after the unbanning of the ANC and the PAC and nearly four months after the release of his remaining Rivonia comrades. Throughout his imprisonment he had rejected at least three conditional offers of release. On May 10, 1994 he was inaugurated as South Africa’s first democratically elected President. This is truly a man that walked in Love for others and Faith, "A Great Man To Honor" today. Mr. Nelson Mandela died at his home in Johannesburg on December 5, 2013. It is written in John 15:12-16, My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last--and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is a very powerful verse, God has chosen and appointed us to go and share the "Hope" we have in Him. We have been commanded by God, each believer plays a part. Are you being fruitful, are you sharing the " Gospel" with people as a servant of Christ Jesus ? For it is written in Romans 12:4-8, For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Abba Father thank you for "YOUR WORD." For it is written in James 5:7-8, Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. May the spirit of Yahweh keep us and strengthen us by "His Spirit." For it is written in Ephesians 3:16-21,I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Today we honor Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr., He was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia, the second child of Pastor Martin Luther King Sr.and Alberta Williams King, a former school teacher. Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr.was a social activist and Baptist minister who played a key role in the American civil rights movement from the mid-1950s until his assassination in 1968. Dr.King sought equality and human rights for African Americans, the economically disadvantaged and all victims of injustice through peaceful protest. He was the driving force behind watershed events such as the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the 1963 March on Washington, which helped bring about such landmark legislation as the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Dr.King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 and is remembered each year on Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a U.S. federal holiday since 1986. Let be doers of the Word, but not just hearers only. We can help somebody today with resource information , food, clothes, or some encouragement from God's Word. We're commanded by God to help the poor and needy. In the Bible, God speaks often of the poor and needy. He commands us to give generously to the less fortunate. Let not our living be in vain children of God. We're blessed to be a blessing, for God to get the Glory ! Let's look at John chapter 11,it tells the story of a man named Lazarus, Jesus’ beloved friend, who died of an illness. By the time Jesus showed up on the scene, he had already been dead four days and Lazarus’ family was convinced that there was no hope. But Jesus, who said “I am the Resurrection and the Life,” commanded Lazarus to come forth out of the grave. And just like that, the dead man rose, still wrapped in his grave clothes. This Bible story assures you that, when it looks like the moments for change and breakthrough have passed you by, God still will produce a miracle for you. Children of God, we have to walk by faith not by sight. For it is written in John 11:1-16, Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.) So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.” When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”  Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,  and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.” “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light.  It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.” After he had said this, he went on to tell them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.”His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”Then Thomas (also known as Didymus) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.” The question for us all today, are we willing to die with him ? God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth. We know people are talking about Super Bowl LV (Buccaneers vs. Chiefs) right?  So, I would like to honor one of the Ex- NFL players # 60 of the Los Angeles Rams Center, who made $25 million dollars in 2009 and quit football to become a farmer. We honor Jason Brown the highest-paid center that played in the NFL in 2009. The story is so powerful for such a time as this in History. Now this young man is giving back to the less fortunate. After earning more than $25 million of that contract, Jason Brown is a farmer now, who is helping to feed the hungry. He walked away from the game being obedient to the (Holy Spirit) the voice of God. Get understanding first, whose speaking into your life ? "His agent told Him", 'You're making the biggest mistake of your life,'" Jason Brown told CBS. " He looked right back at the agent and He said, 'No I am not.'" Wow ! Mr. Jason Brown is doing this to help the less fortunate, a servant of the Lord.  For it is written in 1 Samuel 15:22, “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice,and to heed is better than the fat of rams. Mr Jason Brown grows sweet potatoes and other vegetables and donates his harvest to food pantries. According to the New & Observer, he has given away 46,000 pounds of sweet potatoes and 10,000 pounds of cucumbers this fall. Jason Brown went to school at the University of North Carolina. He had no idea how to farm back in 2012, he learned on YouTube. This story made me reflect on Noah's example of obedience, I thought about  in Genesis, God didn’t just tell Noah to build a boat; rather, God gave specific instructions on how the boat was to be built. God was preparing it to hold a specific number of animals along with Noah and his family. God is the beginning and the end of everything and everyone. Scriptures to Meditate on today ! For it is written in Deuteronomy 32:7,Remember the days of old;consider the generations long past. Ask your father and he will tell you,your elders, and they will explain to you. It's February, the month that is dedicated as Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. history, including the civil rights movement and their artistic, cultural and political achievements. To honor someone is to show him or her the respect and how much we value them. God wants us to honor one another in this life with love and truth. I would like to honor Cicely Tyson today, an Actress who shattered stereotypes. In a remarkable career of many decades, she refused to take parts that demeaned Black people and won a Tony, Emmys and an honorary Oscar. She passed away last Thursday at the age of 96, thank God for her life and strength. In January 2021, when she was 96, her memoir, “Just as I Am,” appeared, and in a pre-publication interview with The New York Times Magazine, she was asked if she had any advice for the young.“It’s simple,” she said. “I try always to be true to myself. I learned from my mom: ‘Don’t lie ever, no matter how bad it is. Don’t lie to me ever, OK? You will be happier that you told the truth.’ That has stayed with me, and it will stay with me for as long as I’m lucky enough to be here.” Wow, this statement is very powerful and true. I spoke this to my daughter years ago, don't lie to me. Now, I have spoken it to my grandkids, no matter what please tell me the truth. It's very important for our children and grandchildren to speak the truth, so we can help them. We need to have an open mind and relationship with them always. History will and can repeat itself if we don't talk about things with each other. We have to listen and talk with the younger generation daily,things are changing everyday. For it is written in Ecclesiastes 1:9-18, History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Sometimes people say, “Here is something new!” But actually it is old; nothing is ever truly new. We don’t remember what happened in the past, and in future generations, no one will remember what we are doing now. I, the Teacher, was king of Israel, and I lived in Jerusalem. I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done under heaven. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race. I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless—like chasing the wind. What is wrong cannot be made right. What is missing cannot be recovered. I said to myself, “Look, I am wiser than any of the kings who ruled in Jerusalem before me. I have greater wisdom and knowledge than any of them.” So I set out to learn everything from wisdom to madness and folly. But I learned firsthand that pursuing all this is like chasing the wind. The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow. Solomon's point is again that only God is in perfect control of both time and its events, and He can seek out and bring back into existence in the present what happened in the past. Can we truly seek the wisdom of God first for history from Genesis the beginning to the end in Revelation? When he spoke, the world was created; at his command everything appeared. God has revealed knowledge of himself, his will, and his divine providence to the world by human beings by His Word in the Bible. Scriptures to Meditate on today - Part# 3 of Sowing and Reaping ! We have to get understanding by the Word (Bible) first before we can preach, teach and speak to others about His promises and His Word. The Word of God has given us a warning that deception would be prevalent on the earth. We have to study God's Word to know the Truth. God has warned us of the danger of being deceived by humankind. This being the case, we need to understand what to look for and also we should be aware of how we can be deceived by words and the worldly system. For it is written in Matthew 13:17-27, For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? Here the Lord is talking about how we need to be aware of the danger of being deceived by people. He does not tell us to judge them by their “gifts,” but rather by their “fruits.” Let us not be deceived by words, deeds, positions or leaders, everywhere. For it is written in Matthew 20:27-28, And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Understand, we're servants of the Lord first, we must not be just hearers of the word, but doers. We cannot just read the word and believe that's enough, we must apply it too. For it is written in James 1:22-25,  But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. Scriptures to Meditate on- Part#2 of Sowing and Reaping ! God should always be first in our lives right ? So, ask yourselves, are you seeking and believing the worldly system or the kingdom knowledge by God's Word ? We don't need to worry children of God, we have to trust God's plan and purpose in everything. For it is written in Matthew 6:31-33, So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Understand, we'll benefit from every choice that we make, good or bad. What's in your heart, examine yourselves, are you truly seeking Him wholeheartedly ? Now, we'll have good days and bad days, beloved children of God, but we walk by faith, not by sight. For it is written in Proverbs 11:17-21,Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves. A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.Truly the righteous attain life, but whoever pursues evil finds death.The LORD detests those whose hearts are perverse, but he delights in those whose ways are blameless. Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free. God is still on the throne and His Word is truth. Let us get some understanding first, God has not changed His Word, nothing is new to Him. God is sovereign and in control of all things. Awake from sleeping (spiritually), can you not see as the world sees things, but by the supernatural divine order of God ? As a believer,we're in this world, but not of this world, we're Citizens of the Kingdom of God. For it is written in Philippians 3:20, But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. God has marvelous things planned for us, every believer. He foreknow the plans for us and His work and works His plan through us! Are you listening, are you watching and praying ? Are you seeking Him wholeheartedly ? For it is written in Matthew 13:9-16, "Whoever has ears, let them hear."The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"He replied, "Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them. 'But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. Abba Father thank you for "YOUR DIVINE WORD."For it is written in James 5:7-8, Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. May the spirit of Yahweh keep us and strengthen us by "His Spirit." For it is written in Ephesians 3:16-21,I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. We pray for Israel, we pray for our families, we pray for one another, the sick, the needy and the oppressed,our country and we pray for those in authority in Washington DC, our churches, our teachers, our officers, our communities, the prison system, our local states and national leaders, the nation & nations, our front line workers and the body of Christ. Lord, I pray that we all have your wisdom in moving forward on the earth. Let us seek, "Your Will God" for the body of Christ. For it is written in 2 Chronicles 7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen ! This is my prayer for 2021, not my will, but "Your Will be done Lord". Amen !

Scriptures to Meditate on this day-Sowing and Reaping ! Depending on what kind of seeds you sow, whether good or bad, be ready to reap the consequences, whether good or bad. For it is written in Deuteronomy 30:19-22, This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is the promise of God, if you choose to live by His Word. Understand,when you sow you will reap from it good or bad. If you're sowing into bad soil, you're going to reap nothing good. But,whenever you sow into someone with great favor, you’re going to reap some of that favor into your life. We will reap from our seeds always something good or bad. Let's get some understanding first from God's Word, for it is written in Matthews 13:1-9,That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Are you listening ? If you don't understand, ask,we can go to the throne of grace and ask for understanding from God. For it is written in James 1:5, If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. We cannot let pride stop us from moving forward into the presents of God, nor stop us from growing spiritually.
