The word for today is -  Image or Likeness !

 

Lets get some understanding about the Spirit of God, without His Spirit in us we are Spiritual dead, read James 2:26,For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.The image of God refers to the immaterial part of man, iIt sets man apart from everything else.It enables him to commune with his Maker, how awesome is that?  Mankind was created for fellowship with God first, but God gave man a free will. Part of being made in God’s image is that we have  the capacity to make free choices. Some people think that being made in the image of God deals with the physical likeness , wrong! God is a Spirit! So, what does it mean to be made in the image of God? It means that we are made in his likeness in that we have some of the same attributes that God has. We both are able to have fellowship, friendship and compassion, mercy, and grace,and love for one another. But, God is all knowing, we are not, God is ever present, but we are not.Lets read Genesis 1:26, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. Do you not know who dwell in you? Think about that today, read Psalm 8:5, For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honor. This verse is showing  the honor given to man.Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
