The word for today is - Growing !

We all have a hunger and a thirst for something? Do you have a hunger and a thirst for God? We all need to grow into whom God has called us to me. People understand the concept of growth in the physical development, but not the Spiritual growth. All people hunger and thirst for food, and of course, food is essential to our physical life. But everyone don't hunger and thirst for righteousness. So, how do we get there? By seeking Him, praying to Him, reading His word(the bible), and listening and hearing the word of God.  Jesus said in His last days walking on earth, if any man thirst for me come unto me, read John 7:36-39,What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Amen ! The word of God says, your soul should thirst for Him, read Psalm 63:1-2,O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory,so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.Righteousness has to be absorbed and internalized so that it goes to every part of your life.In the physical realm, people always say that they want to grow up to be just like someone else. So,how many people do you know or heard say, I want to be just like Jesus? Not many! But the word says, we should become more like Him, to grow in our knowledge of Christ first and live in unity read Galatians 5:16-23, This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Lets walk and talk by the fruit of the Spirit, and that is the Spirit of God, read John 6:55-57, For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. The word says, blessed is the one that hunger and thirst for the things of God , read Matthew 5:5-6, Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed is the man who continually hungers and thirsts for all righteousness. For he shall be satisfied, that is a promise giving to us by God. Im ( Sheila) well satisfied in you and I continue to thirst and hunger for more of you and less of myself. It has to do with feeding our soul with the righteousness that comes from God ,then you will grow spiritually. Help us Holy Spirit! Thank you for your word. Amen !
