The word for today is- Rooted !
Ask yourself the question,Are you rooted and grounded in the truth? Are you rooted in God's word? Read John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Jesus says, I am the only way to the Father. Understand,any other way is a false hope. For what man knows is the things of the flesh which is in him,but the Holy Spirit knows the things of God. No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God, you must be born of the Spirit of God, a believer.The word of God reminds the believers if you meditate day and night on my word , you will be blessed. Read Psalm 1:1-6, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. The word of God is true, if your not rooted and grounded in God's word you will walk by your emotional feelings.Peter says something very interesting in 2 Peter 1:16–18, For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. Peter here recalls the transfiguration, where they were eyewitnesses of Jesus’ majesty.
Now read verses 19-20,We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. Peter said, “We saw the transfiguration, that miraculous sight, but we have a more sure word in God.”Our feelings and people can deceive us, but God’s Word never will.To be rooted and grounded in the truth, the word must be in your heart, let the Holy Spirit work, through you. God’s Word is the only sure, stable thing on which we can base our faith on,let us be rooted and grounded in the word of God, read Ephesians 2:8-9,For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast. It is a gift from God, Father we thank you for your gift to us and for us your Son Jesus, read John 3:16,For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The question is, are you planted in Him? Read Psalm 92:12-15,The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.Thank you for your word. Amen !
