The word for today is - Hold !

 

Let us hold to Sound Doctrine, read 1 Thessalonians 5:21,Test all things; hold fast that which is good. In other words test it by the word of God, and whatever you find to be true then you should embrace it, whatever is false you should reject it. The word of God is the first key of truth and unlocking the door. Come unto to me, Jesus said, you should embrace it with joy, the devil is a lier and the truth is not in him, so reject him and his word. Whenever you hear preaching or teaching of the word, examine it by the word of God. Get understanding first by the word, there were and will be people who professed to be of God, and yet are not, also among you, Jesus said. Read 2 Peter 2:1,But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who shall secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.The word says, try the spirit, by the spirit, read 1 John 4:1,Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. God said, Beloved, believe not every spirit. Do not be foolish and believe every teacher to be a man or woman sent by God. Some people are carnal minded, in other words unregenerate people, walking by the flesh.The carnal mind is enmity against God,read Romans 8:7,Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.The word of God says, let us have the same mind set as Jesus Christ, read Philippians 2:5, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Now lets look at Jesus talking to Peter,Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me", Satan. In other words, Jesus is saying to Peter you are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from my (God's) point of view, read Matthew 16:23,But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get you behind me, Satan: you are an offense unto me: for you consider not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Jesus is saying to satan your words are not life, but death. The word of God says, Hold to the things that are above, read Colossians 3:2, Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Father, thank you for giving us another day. Let us be more like Jesus,Spiritual and not carnal minded! Let us hold to your word within our hearts, read Proverbs 4:4,He taught me also, and said unto me, Let your heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
