The word for today is - Growth!

 

We all need Spiritual Growth, without it we are dead,read 1 John 5:11-12,And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.When you believe in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you,read John 14:16-17,And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.We need the Spirit of God in order to live,read James 2:26,For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.We need to grow spiritual, read Colossians 1:9-10,For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.We need the knowledge of His word, we need to be ready at all times, for battle. We need God's Word,so that we can be ready to face any problem, that this life will send our way. In order for spiritual growth to occur, we must be taught, rebuked,and corrected, by God's Word, read 2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.Learning how to grow Spiritually is a life-long journey which occurs as we read and apply God's Word. Spiritual growth is a life-long process,a daily walk,read Galatians 5:16-18,This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Let the Spirit lead you in the knowledge of God, through his divine power, read 2 Peter 1:2-3,Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Let us grow Spiritually, read Ephesians 4:14-16,That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.We must die daily to our flesh, and grow spiritually daily,it is necessary for him to increase and for us to decrease,read John 3:30,He must increase, but I must decrease.Thank you Lord for your word.
