The word for today is - Educate !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Educate  !

In the book of Romans, the Apostle Paul says, we need to know the truth, and nothing but the truth. And that truth is God's word. This is the number one principle, when it comes to biblical education. Lets read Romans 6:11-13, it says, Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. We must educate ourself with the ways of God, then we will have the spiritual knowledge we need to speak or teach God's holy word. You see, God does not care about your way of thinking, the word of God tells us to do everything to the Glory of Him, so you should be doing everything in love. We all need to educate ourselves in God’s Word, for when we acquire spiritual knowledge, we can then apply that knowledge to our lives in practical ways, yielding ourselves to Him and using godly knowledge to serve the Lord in Spirit and Truth. So, if you have the knowledge of the word of God, then why do you walk and speak with the Spirit of darkness? The word of God tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. This means you have to rightly divide God's word, you can not add or subtract from His word. We are told to apply ourselves to study with diligence the Word of God. The reason is also found in Paul’s second letter to Timothy. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man or woman of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Now, lets look at what the word of God says, If children are not brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, then they will not have proper respect  for you or anyone else. The word of God tells us in Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. If, you educate yourself or your children the ways of the world, then you are outside of the will of God. Get this, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Read Proverbs 9:10, The fear of the Lord  is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. You see there are consequences of dishonouring God, God promises blessing and prosperity to all who trust and obey Him. We are told to gain knowledge and more importantly to seek wisdom. Read Romans 12:2, And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Lord, I thank you for the renewing of my mind, for I am not of this world, I have been transformed to the things of God. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
