The word for today is - People!

Good morning,
The word for today is - People!

The word of God is very clear, it say, " It is greater to give than to receive, " read Acts 20:35,  I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. The word of God says, give and it will be given back to you, read Luke 6:38,Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. The bible also warns us not to give in order to be seen or heard, God is not please with this, read Matthew 6:1-4, Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. We have been told my the word of God to  bear one another's burdens, this is the law of Christ, read Galatians 6:1-4,Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. A man run to Jesus and knelt before him and asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus made it very clear, follow me lay aside everything that you have and give it to the poor. This is Jesus talking to a rich man, read Mark 10:17-22, And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. He went away sad, because he had great wealth, he was one who owned a lot of property. Check this out,He had made an idol of his wealth, he turn away from God. He loved his wealth more than God. How crazy is that? This is very clear that the rich man loved the treasures of this world. Let us get some understanding about the rich man, he walked away, he was ashamed and confounded. You see he had not arrived to perfection yet, his heart was not right, he chose to enjoy the things of this world. He could not depart from his possessions. Jesus said to his disciples,"I tell you the truth, it is very difficult or hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven."Anyone that makes fun of the poor or turn away from them, insults God, Proverbs 14:31,He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. Let us put our faith in Jesus Christ and his righteousness ! Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
