The word for today is - Answer !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Answer !
If you are looking for an answer from someone, you much speak to the person right? Now speaking comes in many ways from God. Let us ask the Lord this morning to enlarge our way of thinking. Heavenly Father, we need a word from you today. It's important not to get bogged down with how God speaks. The important thing is to expect God to speak and be ready to hear Him speak in unexpected ways. He has many ways of speaking and He doesn't always speak in the way that we expect Him to ! So many people think that God always say, Yes, this is not true. The word of God says, God knows what is best for us, so sometimes the answer may be No!  Let us look at King David, he heard the Lord's "no" and quietly accepted it without resentment. That's awfully hard to do sometimes right? But we find in David's final recorded words a life-sized portrait of a man after God's own heart."God said to me," David stood up and told his people hear what I have to say, God told me no!  Read 1 Chronicles 28:1-4,And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem. Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building: But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.Howbeit the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel. David was surrounded by limitless riches, yet all that wealth never captured his heart. David praised God with a grateful heart. David was not held hostage by materialism. He said, in effect, "Lord, everything we have is Yours Lord, all these beautiful elements we offer for your temple, the place where we live, the throne room, all of it is Yours Lord, everything." To David, God owned it all. Ask yourself can you still praise Him if the answer is No? Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
