The word for today is - Written !

 

What does Jesus mean when He says that the Scripture cannot be broken? Read John 10:34-36,Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? In other words Jesus says, my word is true, my word is live, my word is the way back to the Father. The word says, I AM the way, read John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Not everyone believes this, but the Bible is the Word of God, read 2 Timothy 3:15-17, And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. You see we all need the correct doctrine of the word of God, we have to let the Holy Spirit lead us.During Old Testament times the people did not have the written word of God, therefore God directed them through the prophet who recorded what God told them and that became the written word.  Read 2 Peter 1:21, For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. If you have the Holy Spirit within you, then you also have power within to speak the word in truth. You have to awake the Spirit from within.The Bible does speak affirmatively about its divine authorship. Lets look at Hebrews 4:12,For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The word of God is sharp and powerful, so when the spirit of the ungodly comes, face it, read Matthew 4:3-4,And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Wow ! So, when the devil comes to you, you must speak the word of God also and tell the devil to get behind you. Read Matthew 16:23,But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get you behind me, Satan: you are an offense unto me: for you consider not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. These are the same words as Jesus had addressed to the Tempter in Luke 4:8, And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Satan wants to turn you away from serving God. We need the Holy Spirit to guide and instruct us in our daily walk from the written word of God everyday. The written word says, everyone will not believe in Him, read John 12:37-41,But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. We need to read God's word daily,for our instruction and understanding. Read Romans 15:3-4,For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written,The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. The word was written for us,read Psalm 119:105,Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
