The word for today is - Gratitude!

God's word tells us that we need to show gratitude.Lets start with today,it says in Psalm 118:24,This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.The word tells us to be grateful ,this is the will of God that we rejoice and be glad. Some people may ask,do we be thankful for problems? Yes! Why? Because the word of God says, give thanks for everything.Read 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18,See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.We should be grateful, even if we do not understand the reason for our problems.You have to understand that tribulations come to test your faith and to make you stronger in your faith.Jesus Himself talks about the gratitude we need to show during tribulations,Matthew 5:10-12,Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.Now get this,Jesus says, they hated me first,read John 15:18,If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you.We have to go through and remain true to our faith in God.You see the word of God is true,His word tells us that, He will bring us through it, read John 16:33,These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. In other words nothing can overtake the power of God. So,what Spirit is in your heart? The word says, let the Spirit of God rule in your heart, read Colossians 3:14-17,And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. It says,whatsoever ye do in word or deed do it to the glory of God.Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
