The word for today is - Deny !

 

What did Jesus mean when He said,"deny yourself and take up your cross"? Why? Because, we need God's word for the struggle against the challenges and temptations that will come everyday or our daily walk in life.  Read Romans 6:1-4,What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. We have to remember and speak the gospel everyday over  ourselves. A person who wants to find ultimate pleasure must find it in God, and to do so, he must deny himself and follow Christ. Only Jesus could redeem us by paying the judicial penalty for our sin's and liberating us from its penalty. And we say , thank you Lord. The word of God tells us, that we have to deny ourselves and let the Holy Spirit lead us. Lets read Matthew 16:25-27, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. The question is who are you following? Read Luke 9:23,And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Its a daily walk, now get this, if you don't, take up the cross,read  Matthew 10:36-38,And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. If you love anyone more then Jesus, you are very foolish, no one comes before,The great I AM!
