The word for today is - Deep !

The word for today is -  Deep !
Everyone is building their life on some kind of foundation. There are only two choices: you either build on a solid and deep foundation or you build on a shallow and weak foundation. Read Matthew 7:13-14, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. The word tells us to plant in good ground. You see some people plant their seeds in rocky ground. Read Matthew 13:5,Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth. Now, lets look at the word from Jesus. Jesus says build your house on a foundation, a deep and strong foundation. Jesus didn't say that once we built our house on the rock that everything would be perfect. No, He said that a flood came in torrents smashing against the house. The key is that the house was built on the rock of Jesus, and the rock of putting His words into practice. Is your house built on Jesus? Did you dig your foundation deep into Him, or was the house hastily erected? Read Luke 6:48,He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. You see, when the storms come in our life, either it will make us full of trust in God, or angry and brittle, full of doubt and unbelief. You have a free will, its up to you! You can be a wise man or a foolish man. Jesus is calling us to put into action, His word. Here is the key, read Matthew 7:24-27,Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.  Jesus tells us that there are only two kinds of trees planted, read Matthew 7:15-20,Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. There are trees that bear good fruit and trees that bear bad fruit.  You see the bad trees bear bad fruit, the good trees bear good fruit. And Jesus also tells us, that there are two foundations: one that will withstand the storms and one that will not. The picture is very clear. You are either walking God's way, experiencing His transformation in your life and knowing His strength for difficult times, or you are walking away from God, producing nothing of eternal value and are vulnerable to the storms that may come your way. You are one or the other, ask yourself, which one do you think you are? Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
