The word for today is - Search !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Search !

Lets start with asking the Lord to search us, read Psalm 139:23,Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts. Wow! Then read Psam 139: 24, And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. It says search and know my heart, this means, know or see all that is within me that is not like you ( Jesus). The word from God says, He search the heart of everyone.  Now read Jeremiah 17:10, I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. This means the Lord sees everything within us, nothing kept from Him inward. Now get this, the heart is deceitful, it cannot deceive him (the Lord), because he judges not according to outward appearance, but from within. We know the story of Peter,  Christ the omniscient God knew Peter's love for him. Read John 21:15-17, So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. The personal nature of the question is this,He didn't ask, do you love the Pastor?  Do you love the world?  Do you love your church?  Do you love your parents?  Do you love your wife, your husband, or your children? He could have ask Peter about anything or anybody, but,He didn't ask Peter about someone else. He simply asked Peter, "Do you love me?" Today, each one of us must ask the question: "Do I love Jesus Christ?" Peter says you know all things, you know that I love you, so you know the way that I will go. Remember, Judas had betrayed him( Jesus) with a kiss.  If we truly love the Lord, we will show this by obeying His Word, read John 14:15, If ye love me, keep my commandments. His commandments are not burdensome, but are the very nature of love itself. This love is for us! Consider the greatest of the commandments. Read Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. We should be walking in agape love. This love comes from God, Agape is love which is of and from God, whose very nature is love itself.Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
