The word for today is - Walking !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Walking !

God is looking for an army of believers who are consistently walking in the Word. Think about it? Many people miss out on experiencing God’s mighty power because they will not act unless they can see how everything will work out. They want to walk by sight but God has called us to walk by faith.God says clearly in His Word, that we have to make the choice every day to walk by faith, not by sight. In order to overcome today’s pressures, this is the only way; by walking in faith. Faith is the supernatural force that gives you the help and endurance you need to go through life at a strong and steady pace. The power of choice has been given to us. Do we live by faith or do we live by our own circumstances? Do we only say “we have faith” or do we use our faith to get the supernatural force in our life to remove burdens and destroy yokes, remove mountains in the lives of others and in our own life? True faith in God has substance.  When a person steps out in this type of faith, he will be standing on solid rock.  The substance is faith in God's eternal, unchanging word.Your evidence for what you believe is your faith in God’s Word.  How Do We Get Faith? The best way to get faith is to hear the Word of God.  It is important for you not  only to hear it with your ears but also with your heart.  To hear God’s Word in your heart requires openness and hunger for God’s message. Read Romans 10:17,So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith will grow as you are continually hearing God’s Word. Problems arise when the feelings and emotions change. Feelings are influenced by what you see, what you read, and what you hear.Your faith must be controlled by God’s Word, not by what you feel, not by what circumstances look like, and not by what others tell you, only by God's word.  Read 2 Corinthians 5:7,The apostle Paul said,For we walk by faith, not by sight. While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things  which are not seen.  For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.God’s Word is eternal. Let's look at Jesus and Peter, the example Christ and the disciples in Matthew 14:22-32,Jesus instructed His disciples to go ahead to the other side of the lake or sea of Galilee, by boat. Jesus then went alone to a nearby hill or mountain to pray. By this time the boat had drifted far out into the sea, tossed about by great waves, because it was windy . Early in the morning, between 3 and 6 a.m. Jesus went to them, by walking on the sea. The sight of someone walking on the sea terrified the disciples, who thought it was a ghost, Jesus reassured them. Jesus spake unto them saying, Be of good cheer it is I be not afraid. Peter responded, And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come and when Peter was come down out of the ship he walked on the water to go to Jesus. For a while Peter was able to walk on the water, but when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried saying, Lord save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? As long as Peter was focused on Christ, he was able to walk on the water. But when he saw the strong wind churning up dangerous waves around him, he began to doubt and sink. This is very much like our life. We are fine while things are going well, but when storm comes our way, we tend to get discouraged. Faced with impossible situation we find ourselves helpless. Like Peter we begin to doubt and sink. What is the stormy sea of your life? Is it financial problem? Sickness? Loss of a job? Whatever it is, we have all the reason to trust in Him. Now, walking by faith is not walking in blind faith. When we walk by faith we walk with assurance of God’s promises.  Walking by faith is only possible if we are growing in awareness that God is reliable that He will perform as He promised. Thank you God for your word. Amen !
