The word for today is -Hold !

 

Let's read Proverbs 11:12, He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. The intelligent man remaineth silent.This is wisdom, If a person cannot speak anything good of another person, he or she will not speak evil of them, but will hold your peace. Whoever in a derisive or insulting manner, whether it be publicly or privately, degrades his neighbour, is unwise. Read Titus 1:9,Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. We must be a person who is firm in your belief of the doctrines of the faith, and a person who can be relied on to maintain and defend those doctrines in all circumstances. If the doctrine is not sound doctrine it is in vain. If it's not the word of God ,it's not good for anything.The doctrine of the Gospel is the word of truth, and truth itself, and contains nothing but truth. In the Scriptures is the sound doctrine which teach, instruct, and edify the minds of men. Sound doctrine is the faithful word, the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus,  it's the Spirit of God. Do you want it? Do you want the knowledge of it. Can you or will you hold it in your heart under any circumstance? Are you able to teach it to others?   How one is to live wisely. Read Proverbs 1:1-5, The Proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:  To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion; A wise man will hear and increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.In verse 7,The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
