The word for today is - Respect !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Respect !

A good starting point is to respect others because God said to. This is a command from God! Some people will say things like this, "He or she hasn't earned my respect." The Bible tells us that we need to maintain an attitude of respect for everybody. Peter wrote that we should show respect to everyone and honor the king, although the king in those days was an evil person.Read1 Peter 2:17,Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.Show proper respect to everyone ! The Bible says, "For in the image of God has God made man,"Whether or not someone is a Christian, honor him or her as God’s creation". Read Genesis 9:6," Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man". Let's look at children; The Bible says: "Children are an inheritance from the Lord; the fruit of the womb a reward from him". "Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them." Psalm 127:3 Lo,children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. Children are God's; we "inherit" them from him, to bring up and hold in trust. They are gifts, rewards; our lives are filled by being poured out for them. Set the example for the people and children around you. Show them what submitting to authority for the right reasons is supposed to look like. When you are in relationship with God, he provides you with protection and favor. But as you belittle and criticize those people he has placed in authority over you, that protection and favor is lifted from you. Read Luke 6:27-36, But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. But if we are thoroughly grounded in the faith of Christ's love, this will make his commands easy to us. Let's read Luke 6:36-37,Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Let us then aim to be merciful and forgiven. Let's do things God's way! Read the word in 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Study the word. When the vessels of dishonour are cast out to be destroyed, the others will be filled with all the fulness of God. We must see to it that we respect all people. The keys John 13:34-35,"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." Read Galatians 6:10,"So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith." Also read Philippians 2:4, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."Thank you God for your word. Amen !
