The message for the beloved children of God - What is your goal for this New Year 2014 ?
The question for today is, do you have any goals for this New Year 2014 ? If so, what is your goal for this New Year ___? We all need goals in life, start thinking about setting one. Some people start going to the gym, some start eating more healthier, some people start pursuing higher education, and some may be looking for better jobs. In the new year our minds start thinking about self- improvement. We are all in a race for something to look forward to. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize. Read Hebrews 12:1-2, Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Understand that there's a battle going on inside of us, its the mind. Understand the Spirit of God wants to lead us, but the flesh desires to do its own will. Read Galatians 5:17-18, For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. The greatest goal that should be set before us is to become more like Christ. We must keep the faith and run a good race and finish our course that is set before us in Christ Jesus. Read 2 Timothy 4:7-8, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. As painful as the test and trials of life may seem at times, our faith must be tested. Anyone can have faith when we are on the mountain top, but the true test of faith is when we are in our darkest hour. Understand a new morning brings another opportunity to trust God's word. Read Lamentations 3:22-23, It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Heavenly Father, give us the strength to run with patience to the end. Let us learn to be faithful and true to you and trust your word. Let us grow into the likeness of your one and only Son Jesus. So, children of God, be encourage, keep the faith, keep believing, keep trusting, keep praying, keep believing in yourself and the strength of the Holy Ghost from within you. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
