The word for today is - Me ! 

The only way to know if we are growing spiritually is to know what spiritual maturity looks like. Paul said that we are to imitate him as he imitated Christ. Read 1 Corinthians 11:1-3,Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. .In other words, Christ is the perfect expression of what it means to grow to maturity in the Lord. We will never be perfect in this life as He was when He walked the earth, but to set our standards any lower is to guarantee that we will not grow as we ought to.The word of God says, Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ! Jesus says, if anyone follow me he must deny himself , read  Matthew 16:24,Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.Then Jesus says, if you don't deny yourself your not one of His disciple, read Luke 14:27,And whosoever does not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.This is something to think about today, who are you following? True believers are to obey the laws of man as long as they do not conflict with God's higher laws. Read Romans 13:1-2,Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.Thank you Lord for your word.
