The word for today is - Servant !

Good Morning,
The word for today is - Servant !

Let's look at John 13:12-17,So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.Christ washed his disciples' feet, that he might signify to them the value of spiritual washing, and the cleansing of the soul from the pollutions of sin. Our Lord Jesus has a people in the world that are his own; he has purchased them, and paid dear for them, and he has set them apart for himself; they devote themselves to him as a peculiar people. Those whom Christ loves, he loves to the end. Nothing can separate a true believer from the love of Christ. When we see our Master serving, why would you not serve others? Are you greater then your Father (God)? No!Read James 2:26,For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.True believing is not an act of the understanding only, but a work of the whole heart. Read Matthew 20:26-28, But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. The Lord tells us to serve one another. Read 1 Corinthians 15:58,Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Read Galatians 5:13, For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Let's look at Romans12:10, Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another. Also, in  Ephesians 6:7,With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. The duty of servants is summed up in one word, obedience. The greatest leader of all time is Jesus Christ, for even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Thank you God for your word. Amen!
