The word for today is - Humble!

Good morning, ( One year ago Haiti's - earthquake). The capital in ruins and is estimated to have killed more than 230,000 people. In the days after the Jan. 12, 2010 disaster, volunteers and hundreds of aid groups flocked in with food, water and first aid that saved countless lives. But the effort to rebuild has been dwarfed by the extent of the need and a lack of leadership, both in Haiti and internationally.

The word for today is - Humble!

Christians are taught that they should live just as Christ Himself lived.Being humble is something that is a must for anybody who says they are a believer, the Bible cannot be more clear about this. Jesus spoke about the importance of being humble. Let's look at , Every time you say the Lord's Prayer, which Christ taught us, you humble yourself before God ("Thy will be done"). Jesus humbled himself again in the Garden of Gethsemane, when he again submitted to the will of the Father. As Phillipians 2:8 states, "He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross."Jesus is the ultimate example of a person being humble.  You also need to remember to be humble when dealing with your relationships with friends and family. No matter how upset you may get with these people, never forget 1 Corinthians 13:4, Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.  Love does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud..Read  Ephesians !   Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ forgave you. God created us to love. First love Him, and then love one another. The Bible says, in 1 Corinthians 13, that; Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Thank you God for your word . Amen !
