The word for today is -Expectation !

 

We all have expectations which can be the force behind our emotions, thoughts and behavior. Expectations are what you think should happen in life.  This is the mind of the world, this isn't the heart of the believers. The heart often represents the will of a person. Let's read Matthew 7:12,“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets.” This does not mean you should always expect the best. What it does mean is that you should always give your best, even if your expectations are disappointed.  Expectations are not wrong, but sometimes our expectations are so far from reality that we set ourselves up for failure and disappointment. This is not healthy, but when we don't talk about our expectations, resentment and bitterness can grow. The key is through healthy communication. Let's look at the right expectations of God. Proverbs 23:18, For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. The believer's expectation shall not be disappointed. Do you not know His word is true?  Genesis 12:3, And I ( Jesus) will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that ( dishonors you)  curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Let's look at what does the bible tell us in regards to what we can expect from God? Jeremiah 29:11,For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Proverbs 24:14, So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off. Thank you God for your word. Amen !
