The word for today is - Abide !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Abide !

To abide in Christ, however, is to be an obedient follower in fellowship with Christ the Savior and Lord.Let's look at John 15:1-7Jesus said:"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already made clean by the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man does not abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you." In those seven verses, the word abide is mentioned seven times. Read 1 John 3:24, it reveals that obedience is the condition for abiding, abiding in Him is compared to the Son's obeying the Father. Christ's abiding in the Father is a personal fellowship with the Father, so our abiding in Christ should be a personal fellowship with Christ. To truly abide in the vine is to become united with Christ in every area of your life.  Jesus spoke frequently to His disciples about abiding in Him.  To abide in Him means to remain in Him. All believers are called to bear much fruit, though how much will vary based upon a person's faith and obedience ( Romans 12:3 ) Christ’s desire, of course, is that we bear much fruit, not just some or a little. If we abide in Him, we will bear much fruit (John 15:5). Fruit-bearing involves becoming like Christ . Thank you God for your word . Amen !
