The first idea that comes to mind when God is called faithful is that He keeps His promises to His beloved children. God Himself is the model we must study for examples of faithfulness to encourage us to trust and to emulate Him. God assures us His children by His word that He is faithful. For it is written in Jeremiah 31:3, The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. God has continued to be faithful to us, but are you faithful to Him____? I'm going to ask you a question, Do you love the Lord wholeheartedly__? For it's in Matthew 22:37,Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Understand, God is not a man, so he cannot lie. Because of God’s faithfulness we can always count on God even when we cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel.We have hope in Christ Jesus and nothing else. The Book of Lamentations a book of hope for Israel. God was faithful in discharging every aspect of the covenant He had made. Israel was punished for disobedience, but she was not consumed because God’s covenant was still in force. Children of God, we have a covenant also with God. Of what value would the promises of God be without His faithfulness and of what value would we be to God, to our families, to the body of Christ, and to society as a whole without faithfulness? Absolutely none! The faithful person is one who can be counted on to carry out his or her responsibilities and promises to the best of his or her ability through thick and thin no matter how good or bad the situation maybe. Since faithfulness is an attribute that is a vital part of the character of God Himself, His faithfulness becomes a great resource for faithfulness in His Children. Understand it's by the blood of Jesus, His (DNA) Amen ! Heavenly Father, let us learn to walk by faith and not by sight. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !
