The word for today is - Humble !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Humble !

Let's look at the word from God in Exodus 20:12, Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. Now, this commandment is mentioned not once, not twice, but a total of eight times in the Bible, twice in the Old Testament and six times in the New Testament. The commandment itself is repeated. The word don't say  to honor if he did an outstanding job as a dad or a bad job as a dad. It just says "Honor your father and your mother." So, go humble yourself before your heavenly father first, and tell him you're sorry for your bad attitude, then go humble yourself an ask your earthly father to forgive you. There is Only One  perfect Father, our Heavenly Father!  Some people need to start today by humbling themself with your parents, then somethings may turn around someday. We have to have a desire to love, to forgive, to honor, and to respect one another. Now, what does humble mean? it means, not proud or haughty : not arrogant or assertive : reflecting, expressing, or offered in a spirit of deference or submission.Learning to be humble is of paramount importance in most religions and spiritual traditions, and humility can also help you develop as a person and enjoy richer relationships with others. The bible tells the believers, we are taught that we should live just as Jesus Himself lived. Jesus's life on earth began humbly, in a stable in Bethlehem. In Matthew 11:29, Jesus says, "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek(gentle) and lowly(humble) in heart." He goes on to say that "ye shall find rest unto your souls" by doing this. Most importantly, Jesus humbled himself to the will of his Father. Every time you say the Lord's Prayer, which Jesus taught us, you humble yourself before God ("Thy will be done") that's the will of God in your Spirit.  Jesus humbled himself again in the Garden of Gethsemane, when he again submitted to the will of the Father. As Phillipians 2:8 states, "And being found in fashion as a man,he humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death on the cross." In short, Christ is the ultimate example of a person being humble. The Bible is very straightforward when discussing those who are filled with pride.Read Proverbs 3:34, which states that " Surely he (God) scorneth the scorners: but  he giveth  grace unto the lowly (humble)." Proverbs 16:18 goes even more in depth, saying that "Pride goeth before destruction; an a haughty spirit before a fall (stumbling). Are you being obedient, by being humble to others.Read 1 Peter it tells us to, "humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may life you up in due time." Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
