Jesus asked,the disciples a question? Whom do ye tell the people that I am? What do ye speak or preach concerning me? Look at Luke 9:18-20, And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I AM ? They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God. Many people assume there are many paths to God and that each religion represents an aspect of truth. Not true! Read John 14:6, Jesus saith, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one cometh unto the Father, but by Me." He didn't claim to be one of many equally legitimate paths to God. He claimed to be the only way to God. Who does the Bible say Jesus is? The Son of God, the living God, the Holy One, the Savior, the only Way to God, the Redeemer, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the "Anointed"one, the"Messiah", the great I AM, and the righteous Judge. First question, Who do you say that, I AM? That is the inescapable question. He alone can redeem you, and free you from the power of sin. He alone can transform you, restore you to fellowship with Him, and give your life eternal purpose. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior? Read John1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Also,read verse 1:14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,We must never be ashamed of Christ and his gospel. Read Revelation 1:17-18, And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore; Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Read Revelation 1:8," I am Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending,saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Jesus is asking,the disciples today the same question?
