The word for today is - Thirst !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Thirst !

Let's read about Apostle Paul, all he had seen and experienced, late in his life.  Paul wrote of the passion that he had in Philippians 3:10 "That I may know Him." What is he talking about? Didn't he already know Jesus more closely than perhaps anyone else ever will? Of course he did. But the more he knew Jesus, the more he wanted to know Him. The more Paul progressed in spiritual strength, the more thirsty for God He became. Let's look at John 4:14,But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The spirit or the soul of man, as influenced by the Holy Spirit, must worship God, and have communion with him.Read John 7:37-38, In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. The Spirit dwelling and working in believers, is as a fountain of living, running water, out of which plentiful streams flow. Read John 3:18,He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Why would God instruct the world to seek Him ? We need to understand what  hangs in the  balance if we misunderstand these verses in revelation. They were not spoken by God to show his ability to speak poeticly but as a warning for us to understand the importance  of a relationship with him that has no restrictions. The Lord pulls no punches when it comes to serving him and him alone. It's throughout the bible and one verse that sticks out the most is  Matthews 6:33,But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Are you seeking the kingdom? Let's read Joshua 1:8,This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt  have good success.  Thank you God for your word. Amen !
