The word for today is - Abide!

Good morning,
The word for today is - Abide!

The first thing is Jesus is talking John 15: 1, I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.. Let's read John 15:4,"Abide in me, and I in you. As the brand cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me".
Can you hear the sound of God?   Also read John 15:7 says, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." This is a powerful promise of God, but it is conditional as we notice two "if" in this Scripture. These are if, His words are abiding in us, and if, we are abiding in Him. He states we can ask anything and it will be done if, these two things are existent in us. Let's study the word "abiding"To wait ;to pause; to delay;to endure; to sustain; to submit to; to remain stable or fixed in some state or condition. Read chapter 15 of St. John. Jesus is the one and only true vine and it is the job of the Father to take care of and defend the branches on the vine so they will produce the best fruit. The vine, or main stalk, yields the proper juice and nourishment to all the branches, whether large or small, but all the nourishment must pass through the vine first. Some of the branches might be very large but not producing much fruit and sheltering other smaller branches so they cannot grow well. These large branches still receive nourishment even though they don't produce much fruit, but they absorb a lot of energy from the rest of the vine that smaller branches could use that are already producing fruit. For this reason God must prune as much as is necessary and needful in order to keep the vine healthy, even if it means cutting off some large branchesLet's look at John15:10-11, "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love"."These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full".Let's look at Colossians 3:1-2," If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God"."Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth".This means your mind should be on things above, not on earthy things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ. We must seek to know the whole truth and be completely surrendered to the will of God for us to be victorious and successful believers. Jesus is the Rock. He is solid and stable and will not change. For this reason we can trust Him and believe the Words He has spoken to us. If He said it, then that settles it. Thank you God for your word. Amen !
