The word for today is - Demonstrate !

 

Read Colossians 3:10-11,And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian,bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. The word tells us in verses 12- 14,Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering: Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a guarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity ( love), which is the bond of perfectness. We are told to walk in the Spirit of love.  Also read, Ephesians 4:2-3,With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  Let's look at Matthew 4:2,And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.. Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom, He came on a three-pronged mission: to save sinners who are incapable of saving themselves."For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:23);" to shew us the Father" and "declare the Father’s love" (John 14:8-9; 17:26); and to “destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8). In order to accomplish this mission, "About my Father’s business” (Luke 2:49), Jesus first began to gain the people’s attention by working many miracles and healing many of diseases, illnesses, and physical ailments. Why did Jesus do this? To accomplish His mission. This was His mission statement: 1.) Demonstrate the Father’s love for those suffering 2.) Demonstrate heaven’s power over Satan’s realm by undoing the devil’s handiwork of causing sickness, disease, and suffering 3.) Demonstrate His ability to “save to the uttermost” those who came to Him by offering them a better way.But His real mission was to demonstrate that there is a better world coming! One day God’s kingdom will be established and then, and only then, shall there be no more pain. Read in Revelation 21:4,And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away .
