Scriptures to Meditate on today - The Foundation !

Scriptures to Meditate on today - The Foundation ! I have been studying God's Word this weekend, It is important to remember that we all need to study the Scriptures to know God 's Will and His Word. For it is written in 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We must know the truth, this truth is grounded in the very character and being of God only! And knowing the truth brings wholeness, healing, freedom, life, and joy. For it is written in Matthew 7:17-24, Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Wow, are you building on a strong foundation or on sand ? Jesus is telling us that whoever hears his words and obeys Him, would be like a wise man who built on a rock. And that house could never be torn down !  It could never be moved! Now that's something to think about right ? The Word of God tells us not to be only hearers of the word and not doers.  For it is written in James 1:22, Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. But if we only hear the wonderful words of Jesus and yet still go our own way and don't do what He says, then we are like a foolish person, who builds his house on the sand!  Therefore do not deceive yourself into thinking that reading alone is all it takes. James speaks of the fact that hearing alone is not enough. Hearing must be accompanied by action. For it is written in 1 Corinthians 3:9-15, For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved, even though only as one escaping through the flames. The foundation of a godly and blessed life is not just hearing God’s word, it's doing God’s Will. Let us put the Word of God into practice daily. For it is written in Luke 6:47-48,As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. Are you building in vain? For it is written in Joshua 24:15, But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”Are you looking to Jesus to supply all your needs ? God (Emmanuel) is with us, this ” means you are never alone or without His presence." God himself is always with you. Amen! For it is written in Psalms 127:1, A song of ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. Thank you Lord for always being with us and never leaving us. Amen ! Others can follow the word at :  http://1spiritualfood.blogspot.com/
