Scriptures to Meditate on today- One in Christ !

Scriptures to Meditate on today- One in Christ ! Understand Jesus is the reason for the season, let us examine ourselves. For it is written in (NIV) Philippians 2:1-5, Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. These are the most essential words for a true believer, it's to have the same mindset of Christ Jesus being a servant. He came to serve, not to be served. Let us put away our own agenda in order to carry out Christ’s mission. Some people may be upset with me, just keep me in your prayers for God's Will to be done in my life, it's not my words. For it is written in (NIV) Mark 10:35-45, Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him. "Teacher," they said, "we want you to do for us whatever we ask.""What do you want me to do for you?" he asked. They replied, "Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.""You don't know what you are asking," Jesus said. "Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?""We can," they answered. Jesus said to them, "You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared."When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John. Jesus called them together and said, "You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."Are you serving others and putting others' needs first in this season? The word from God tells us to get understanding first right? So, let's look at hunger, it's a silent killer with people. People with jobs as well as those without don’t have enough food. Some school students are hungry and the only food was from lunch time at school. Children are very hungry everywhere. A co-worker emailed me this information yesterday, now get this, even before COVID-19, more than 35 million Americans were considered food insecure. The pandemic has exacerbated the problem. From March through the end of October, U.S. food banks distributed 4.2 billion meals. More than 80 percent of food banks are serving more people than they did last year. Wow, that's something to think about for real. We're the servants of the Lord first and we're called to serve God first and others. For here are the words from the Lord, For it is written in Acts 20:34-36, You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed." Abba Father forgive us, we thank you for another chance to serve others. Let us pray together for oneness by the Spirit of Truth, not our will, but God's Will be done here on earth. Let us help somebody so our living isn't in vain. Amen and Shalom!
