Scriptures to Meditate on this week- "Follow Me!"

Scriptures to Meditate on this week- "Follow Me!" I was thinking this morning about Jesus calling us to follow Him. We must count the cost of following Jesus Christ daily and this means we must die to ourselves and our own interests and be a servant for Christ and others. For it is written in Mark 10:45,"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Wow, that's powerful, the King Of kings came to serve ! Understand Jesus said, “Follow Me” It’s a command that comes over and over again in Scripture. God called Abraham and Sarah to leave their home, their family, their identity, and sojourn into an unfamiliar land. What do you think about that? God called Rahab, God called Samuel, three times as a young boy, to be God’s servant, who later would anoint Israel’s first king. That's with a purpose and a plan. God called prophets like Isaiah to open the prosperity-glazed eyes of people in Israel to see God in their midst. The call to share hope and good news. God called the 12 disciples also with a plan and for a purpose. For it is written in Mark 3:13-14, Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach. God is calling you and me, are you listening for the call (sound)? Answer the call, Yes Lord, Yes !  “Follow Me!” This is the command of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords. Let us follow the care-act for others this season and follow Jesus's example. We have to get understanding first, Jesus Christ came not to be served, but to serve. Now the word of God tells us if we lack wisdom come to Him and ask. For it is written in James 1:5,  If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. God's Faithful to us,the question is are we faithful to Him (His Word)?  Get understanding, this is a question ?  For it is written in Luke 2:50-52, But they did not understand what he was saying to them. Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. What's in your heart ? When I was hungry you fed me,When I was thirty you gave me drink, when I was in jail you visited me right ? For it is written in Matthew 25:42-45,"For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?''He will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' Abba Father forgive us for not obeying your word faithfully. Thank you for giving us another chance. Amen !Others can follow the word at :  http://1spiritualfood.blogspot.com/
