The weekend message for the beloved children of God - Stand on the promises of God !

One of the disciples asked Jesus a question. Read John 14:5-6, Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Understand God's word it is truth , it is a promise, that He will fulfill, He can not lie. Read Numbers 23:19-20, God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. It may be difficult to understand sometimes, but we have to trust God's timing and word. God's word,"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” God has promised to supply every need that we have. The Bible says in Phillipians 4:19, But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now notice, God has obligated Himself only to the extent of our needs. That would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ. It would not include the multiplicity of luxuries that we have come to think of as needs. Read Galatians 6:6-9, Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. So many people stubbornly want to witness miracles or see Jesus in person before they will believe in him, but God says, in His word to come to him as you are, in faith. So, start walking by faith not by sight on the promises of God. Ask yourself are you like the disciple Thomas ? Is your faith based solely on what you can touch and see? Understand that all the disciples, deserted Jesus during the crucifixion, except one John. But the Apostle Thomas is singled out in the gospels for His words of doubt. He was not with them when Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“Peace be with you,” this was after the crucifixion. The other disciples told Thomas, “We have seen the Lord.” Thomas said, I will not believe,“Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” Eight days later, Jesus came and stood among them again, this time Thomas was there. Jesus started talking to Thomas, Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. What was so awesome to me is, Jesus knew that Thomas had doubted His word. Jesus is saying, to us today, Stop doubting, and believe my word, you are a blessed people. Read John 20:27-29,Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. Heavenly Father, we thank you for giving us hope. We understand that all things work together for the good to those who love and serve you faithfully. It may be difficult for us to see and understand sometimes, but you Lord has promised it, and you will fulfill your promises to us your children. We stand on the promises of your word. For your word is everlasting, and eternal life. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
