Scriptures to Meditate on today !

Scriptures to Meditate on today ! For it is written in Ephesians 6:18-19,And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. I have been studying the power of " The Tongue". Very powerful message in Romans 14:11“For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God”  The Lord is telling us within this chapter of Romans that we are no better than our brothers, we should not judge them, and we will one day have to give an account of ourselves. We will bow down and worship Him! God will heal our land in this devastation that is plaguing the world right now, but we must do our part by Him. Keep praying for the whole world,Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.We have to speak over our selfies, our families, friends and the world.  Pray for God’s will and plans, not our own.Let us look into the book of James. For it is written in  James 3:1-12, Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. For it is written in James 3:13-18, Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work!" It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Understanding that the Holy Spirit is a person that lives within God's Children, to do a greater word from within us. To lead and guide us into righteousness. For it is written in Romans 8:26-27, In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. The Tongue is Fire good and bad! "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, if it's not humble. The “patient in spirit” is the man who knows how to check and control his speech at all times, and to listen to reproof. The “proud” is one who has not learnt to curb his tongue, and to wait for the end that is better than the beginning. The end is better because we then can form a right judgment about a matter; we see what was its purpose; we know whether it has been advantageous and prosperous or not. Amen !   I'll stop here, for it is written in Proverbs 18:21, The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Amen ! Others can follow the word at :  http://1spiritualfood.blogspot.com/
