What does the Lord require of you ___ ? To Love Him, for it's in Deuteronomy 10:12-13, And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? Wow, read this again, it's for your good to love Him with all your heart. Jesus has giving us a warning, don't love anything of this world, it's all temporal. The temporal things of this world are the material things of this life that not only come and go, but will be meaningless one day. It's in 1 John 2:15-17, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Let me ask you a question? Is there something or anyone in this world that you love more than the Lord _____?  I pray that your answer is No ! Loving God more than anything or anyone in this world is very wise. For it's in John 14:22-23, Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Children of God we need to seek the Lord's face daily. How ? By reading, studying and meditate on the word, day and night. Why? Because, the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be; so then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Understand, God is a Spirit and we are called to worship Him in Spirit. Those who worship him must worship in Spirit and in Truth.  Our worship to God must be done in a worthy manner at all times.  It must be done in a manner that brings glory and honor to God only. Heavenly Father, we thank you for loving us. Where would we be without you Lord ? Lord you have chosen to reveal yourself to us. For it is written in John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. We thank you for everlasting life. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !
