The message for the beloved Children of God is - Friends !

 

We were created to be friends right from the start! Friendship began at the start in the Garden of Eden, When God created us, it was His intent to maintain intimate fellowship. God walked with them and God talked with them. But then the friendship was broken! Something or someone got in the way as they chose a new friend that deceived them.What kind of love is this, that a man has layed down His life for His friends.There is no greater love then this, we are no longer called servants, we are called friends. Read John 15:13-15, Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you. From now on I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. When you become a true friend nothing can change your love, a true friend loves at all times. Read the book of Proverbs, it teachs us that we need one another. Read Proverbs 27:17, Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Someone has said that if you can count your true friends on the fingers of one hand, you are blessed. When Jesus tested his friendship with Peter after Peter had denied him, Jesus asked Peter three times after the resurrection if Peter loved him. The word that Jesus used was “philos” which is the word we get for Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. This philos is a friendship love. A friend is one whom you can be yourself with and never fear that he or she will judge you. A friend is someone that you can confide in with complete trust. A friend is someone you can respect and they should respect you also. Heavenly Father, we thank you, for you have chosen us. Thank you Lord for your unconditional love. You have called us by our name. We belong to you. You have called us by our names and we are yours. Strengthen our friendship with you Lord today, that we may tell others about this great friendship and love you have established with us. My prayer is to all of my e-mail friends, may the love of God always be with you. May His grace, mercy and peace follow you forevermore ! Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
