The word for today is - Servant !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Servant !

Jesus taught that you have to lose yourself first in order to follow Him.You must lose your pride, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you! When we lose ourselves for Jesus and put others before us then we are good servants of the Lord, read John 12:25-26,He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. When we stop focusing on our needs,we then become servants of the Lord, read  Romans 13:4,For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil. When we become aware of the needs of others and put others first then God is well pleased with us, read Hebrews 13:16,But to do good and to share forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. If you are called by God, you must do things His way, and His way is to serve with gladness, read Psalm 100:2,Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. We have to take a whole new point of view of serving one another. We can not do it our way,or the way of the world, it has to be done God's way.We need to find out what is the will of God and do our best to obey Him, read Ephesians 5:15-17,See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.Let us get some understanding first, Jesus said there are two great commandments. Read Matthew 22:34-40,But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,Master, which is the great commandment in the law?Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Jesus was talking about serving others, read Galatians 5:13-14, For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Let us serve one another with love, read 1 Peter 4:10-11,As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
