Happy History Month..Two Bishop's

1.) Bishop Desmond Tutu

Bishop Desmond Tutu
is 84 years old, born October 7, 1931, Birthplace: Klerksdorp, South Africa. Best known as: The bishop who won a Nobel prize for opposing apartheid.Desmond Tutu received the 1984 Nobel peace prize for his nonviolent work against apartheid, the South African government’s policy of racial separateness. Raised in several communities in the Transvaal region, he was educated at a Pretoria teachers’ college, a Johannesburg seminary and King’s College, London. He was ordained a priest in the Anglican Church in 1961, became Bishop of Lesotho in 1976, and by 1986 was his country’s highest Anglican official as Archbishop of Cape Town. In the 1970s and ’80s he urged global economic pressure against South Africa and led a “defiance campaign” against a government ban on anti-apartheid demonstrations. He and other members of the clergy often intervened in confrontations between demonstrators and police or between mobs and informants. In the 1990s, with apartheid finally defeated, he headed the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Nelson Mandela‘s new government. Tutu retired as archbishop in 1996 but remained outspoken in domestic and world affairs until 2010, when he announced he was “slowing down” his public activity. The name Tutu, in his family’s traditional IsiXhosa language, means “ash.” His middle name, Mpilo, means “hope.” During apartheid he downplayed his specific ethnicity in favor of wider Black unity… He married the former Nomalizo Leah Shenxane, who goes by Leah Tutu, in 1955. They have a son, Trevor, born in 1956, and three daughters: Thandeka Theresa, 1957; Naomi, 1960; and Mpho (meaning “gift”), 1963… His authorized biography, Rabble-Rouser for Peace, by South African journalist John Allen, was published in 2006.

Bishop T.D. Jakes is 58 years old, born June 9, 1957, birthplace in South Charleston.Best known as a Pentecostal preacher who wrote "Woman, Thou Art Loosed." Name at birth: Thomas Dexter Jakes. Bishop T.D. Jakes, was named “America’s Best Preacher” in a 2001 Time magazine cover story, started as a part-time storefront minister in West Virginia in 1979. By 1996 he had moved to Texas and founded what became a megachurch, The Potter’s House. There he is also “CEO” of evangelistic and philanthropic ministries whose reach ranges from the poor neighborhoods of Dallas to rural Africa. A prolific revivalist, conference leader and Christian entrepreneur, he has written dozens of books on spiritual, women’s, self-help and relational topics. One of them, Woman, Thou Art Loosed (1993), about domestic abuse and other difficulties, became a commercially relased film in 2004. The Potter’s House is nondenominational, but Jakes is listed as vice-prelate of Higher Ground Always Abiding Assemblies, an Ohio-based national network of congregations. He was consecrated a bishop in 1987 by the “Greater Emmanuel Churches,” according to his official bio. The title indicates honor and spiritual stature but not apparently any jurisdictional authority. Bishop Jakes and his wife, Serita, have five children. He founded Greater Emmanuel Temple of Faith in Montgomery, West Virginia, in 1979 with 10 members. His recording label, Dexterity Sounds, has produced Grammy-nominated albums in collaboration with EMI Gospel Music… He is in the cast of his 2004 film, appearing as himself

Good morning Children of God
The weekend Living Word of God - Unconditional Love !

Children of God encourage one another and build each other up daily by God's Word in 1 John 3:18-20, Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. This weekend many people are exchanging cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “Valentine” that's Awesome! But children of God, please don't abandoned your first Love, Jesus Christ ! Let us learn to Love by God's Spirit and Truth, turn from darkness, run to the Light. You have to acknowledge Jesus Christ, First ! For it's in John 3:18-20, He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (exposed). Get this key note, Jesus is speaking,"I AM THE LIGHT" of the world. The same was in the beginning with God, He has spoking and warned us, don't turn away from Him (Jesus)! Now get some understanding, all things were made through Him and nothing was without Him. For it is written in John 1:1-5, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. God's love, is described in the Bible, as clearly unconditional, because God is Love ! God reveals His love toward us in the giving of His Son, Jesus Christ, as the propitiation (that is, the appeasement of God’s righteous wrath) for our sins. God loves us because it's His nature to love and that love moves Him toward benevolent action.Understand Love comes from God. For it is written in 1 John 4:7-10, Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The unconditional nature of God’s love is most clearly seen in the gospel. The gospel message is basically a story of divine rescue.Christ knows and observes everything though in heaven, yet he walks in the midst of his churches on earth, observing what is wrong in them. Amen ! For it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14-16, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. We must not defile ourselves by converse with those who defile themselves with sin. Come out from the workers of iniquity, and separate from their vain and sinful pleasures and pursuits; from all conformity to the corruptions of this present evil world. Heavenly Father we come before thy at the throne of Grace crying out, "Holy, Holy is the Lamb of God"! Cry out Children of God, " Hallelujah"! "Praise to your Holy Name Lord"! Therefore you have kept your promise because you are righteous, for you are Lord. For it is written in Nehemiah 9:6,Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

Scripture to meditate on this weekend in Love!
Paul's Prayer for the Ephesians, and my prayer for Us !For it is written in Ephesians 3:16-19,That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
