The word for today is - Peace !

 

 

Read John 14:27,Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. This verse is telling us that the Spirit of the Lord is giving to us, we need not to be afraid. Read 2 Thessalonians 3:16,Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. This means, No matter where you are, He (Jesus) is there with you. How do you keep this peace? Read Isaiah 26:3, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Also,Do not seek evil for evil, always seek to do good towards others. Read 1 Peter 3:9-11,Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. Who is the greatest example for us Jesus ! Read James 2:14-24, What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Where is your faith? Is it in obedience to Jesus Christ  or the ways of the world? Let's look at Matthew 5:9, Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace,patience, kindness, goodness,faithfulness,  gentleness, and self-control.
