The word for today is - Awesome !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Awesome !

Do you know someone that is awesome? For the believers, it is or should be God! The Bible tells us, God is the one who created everything that is. Read Genesis 1:1,  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The definition of awesome is "inspiring awe, amazing, wonderful, and cool." God is so awesome, that He created the end also! God is so awesome that He created a new place for us to be with Him. The Scriptures tell us that heaven is where God has His throne. According to the Scriptures, heaven is the destination for the believers when we die. Now, that's amazing!   But ,what most believers do not realize is that heaven is not the final destination for those who believe in Jesus Christ.  In fact, the Bible tells us that God is going to build a new heaven and a new earth. The new earth will be a city known as the New Jerusalem that will be the ultimate destination for those who belong to the Lord. Now, this is inspiring ! Think about that for a second, a new earth? Wow,that is awesome! Ultimately, the final destination for believers will be a new heaven and a new earth. That's pretty cool! Read 2 Peter 3:13, Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. After the new heaven and new earth are created, all mankind will worship the Lord there as it tells us in Isaiah 66:22-23,"For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,"saith (declares) the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord." "All mankind will come and bow down before me," says the Lord. Now, that's wonderful! The bible explains that Multitudes of people who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake. Read Daniel 12:2-3,And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness, as the stars for ever and ever. The final destination for those that belong to Jesus, without a doubt will be there on that day to see Him. Read Revelation 21:1-3, And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned (beautifully dressed) for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell (live) with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God." Is there anything more valuable than eternal life in heaven and to be with our Father? No ! We the believers have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. How awesome is that? Now, that's love! Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Shield !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Shield !

Who is your shield? Is it the Lord? Read Psalm 28:7,The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Understand that no weapon formed against you can win or shall succeed. Read Isaiah 54:17,No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. We have divine protection, read Psalm 91:1-16,He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. So, we have to know that God has giving us a way out of fear, read 2 Timothy 1:7, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Now,we have to understand who is always with us. Read Isaiah 41:10,Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. All, I can say is Lord thank you for being so Awesome! Read John 10:10, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So, put on the shield of faith read,Eph 6:16, Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Understand that the battle is not your's,the battle is the Lord's. Read Eph 6:10-17,Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all,to stand.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Run !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Run !

Understand that some people are running away from God read 1 Corinthians 2:14,But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. That means people are running, but running towards or for the things of the world. Now let's read Romans 8:35-39,Who shall separate us( the believers) from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The word says nothing can separate us from His love. Let's look at the word from God, He tells us how to run, in Hebrews 12:1-2, Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Let's make sure we are running the right race? Now read 1 Corinthians 9:24,Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. So, we all should be running to and for Jesus. The Spiritual Race! Read Hebrews 12:1-2, Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. The key is, start running and never quit this race ! Keep your eyes on Jesus, look to the cross. Again, I say run my brother and sister, run for and to Jesus! Amen ! Read Matthew 11:28,Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Did you get that? The reward is rest. Thank you Jesus for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Expectation !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Expectation !

Let's understand that we all have expectations in life. But, what do you expect from God? To expect something means that there is a strong possibility, even a certainty that the event is going to happen. Just to hope so has no feeling of certainty at all. So,we must understand what is hope to hear from God and what is expecting to hear from God. Not just hoping to hear, I am expecting to hear and because of my expectation I have made certain arrangements regarding his visit. Amen ! Expectation without Revelation is useless. We can expect to receive grace, and divine favor in ever-increasing amounts as we increase in the revelation knowledge of Him. Read 'revelation knowledge' in the book of Joshua. God gave us specific instructions on how to do this.  Read Joshua 1:8,"This book of the law (the Word) shall not depart out of your mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Now we have to understand that revelation comes from hearing the word from God. Revelation comes not by having heard, but instead by 'continually hearing' the word. Read Romans10:17,So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We can only access these things through the revelation knowledge of the Word of God. It's in the word, read 2 Peter 1:2-3. The most vital key in the period between believing and manifesting the answer is this matter of expectation. Are we really expecting God to supply that particular need? In Romans 15:13, Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. God, declared to be "the God of expectation". God is characterised as having this attitude of expectation. His ultimate purpose in creating this universe and in placing man upon the earth, is to have somebody with whom he could fellowship. Are you expecting to hear from the Lord today? Speak, He's right there with you always. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - First !

Good morning,
The word for today is - First !

It's somethings we must do first, like what? Well the first thing is that we must trust in God and His word. Let's look at this first in 1 John 4:8,He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Now let's look at the law of God first, the law of God is love for it is God's nature to be kind. The word tells us to seek the kingdom of God first. Let's look at Matthew 6:33, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Do you understand, then all these things shall be (given) to you. Then it tells us that He first loved us. Read 1 John 4:19,We love him, because he first loved us. There is no greater love then this !Then it tells us that people have left they first love. Who is your first love? Is it Jesus? Read Revelation 2:4, Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Do you not know that, Christ keeps an account of his servants work done for him, and their labour. Are you working for the Lord or for yourself ?  Now let's read Mark 12:28-30, And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,  Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Do you understand that God is always first! Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Understanding

Good morning,
The word for today is - Understanding !
We need understanding so we can live ! For, me I need to understand things and people in my life, so about a month ago the Spirit of the Lord said read the book of Proverbs. The book of Proverbs? that's me asking? it's the book of wisdom. If you need understanding of anything, then you should ask the Lord what book of the Bible you should be reading. We need to talk more to Him about the things that are going on in our lifes, the Holy Spirit leads us. Let's look at Proverbs chapter 3,My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. The verses 1-12, is talking about trust, it says Trust in the Lord with all your heart, it says all your heart, then in verses 13- 35,it says that the one who finds this understanding is blessed, Blessed is the one who finds Wisdom. Wow, that's powerful ! It's right there in the bible, it's free do you want it? As we grow in our knowledge of God, through his divine power he gives us everything we need for life and godliness. Read 2 Peter 1:3, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Jesus relied on the Word of God alone to overcome obstacles, including the devil, and we can also. Thank you God for your word. Amen !
