The word for today is - Blessing !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Blessing !

First thing is, what does blessing mean? Blessing is the infusion of something with holiness, divine will, or one's hope or approval.  So, we have to understand that words have power. Read Revelation 1:3, Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. The first blessing is grace. The word means “favor done by one to another.” It is spontaneous, generous and free, there is no expectation of return. Do you not know that God sent His sinless Son Jesus to bear on His shoulders our sins to the cross and there He died in our place so that we might live through faith. Get this, He ( Jesus) did it for you and me.  Now, that is a blessing! The second blessing is mercy, now this is giving to us everyday. Read  Deuteronomy 7:12-15, Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.According to the Bible, when a nation forsakes God, God has promised to forsake that nation. Israel is the greatest example of this principle. The Bible says that when Israel turned from God, God turned from Israel. If we use the example of Israel, we can say that as long as they walked in His ways, He was with them in blessing and protection. The third blessing is peace, the word says, read John 16:33 ,These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Also read Numbers 6:24-26, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Persecute !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Persecute !

First understand that, they persecute Jesus first. Now, think for an second do you think that your greater then, The Great I AM ? No ! Now read John chapter 15, verses 18-21,it says,If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.You see this persecute is because your one of His (Jesus) sheep. It's in John 10:27-28,My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. Wow! So, whenever someone persecute you or your name, you have to know what the word from God says about your life. Read John 5:16,And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. Lets look at Acts 7: 51-52,Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers. You see, Jesus looked at the multitudes of people who were pushing and straining to follow Him and said, “Unless you carry your cross daily, you cannot follow me, you cannot be my disciple.” Jesus was saying that if you want to be my disciple, you have to be loyal to me, love me and live for me.  If, you want to be my disciple and you don’t have a clear cut loyalty to me, you are inviting ridicule upon my name. If you are planning to be my disciple without a clear cut loyalty to me and what I stand for, the outcome in your spiritual battle will be without a doubt, defeat. What does your loyalty to Jesus look like? Only you can answer that. Is it only outward? Is it only when you are with other believers ? Is it only on occasions? Is it only when you need him? Or can you say to Jesus, Lord, I want to be your disciple, you have my complete loyalty, regardless of the cost. Just pray this prayer, Psalm 31:14-17, But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake. Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.  Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Freedom !

Good morning,
The word for today is- Freedom !

As U.S. citizens we celebrate our freedom on Independence Day, thanking our founding fathers for giving us our liberty. As believers, we also celebrate our freedom in Christ and the sacrifice he made to set us free from sin and death. What does the Bible say about Freedom and Independence ? There are no verses with “Freedom” or “Independence” in them. There are 58 verses in the King James Bible, that talks about , being free or liberty. Here are two verses to look at, 1 Peter 2:15-16,For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.  Read Galatians 5:1, Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. As believers, we take so much for granted. We have freedom of speech. We have freedom to worship. We can attend the Church of our choice. God created us, he gave us freedom of choice.  We can choose to believe in him or not.  There is no gray area. When we continue to make bad choices or do evil against others, we choose to walk in the flesh.  But when we live for God, we become free from sin and our Spirit is renewed, by the Spirit of God. It says in the Bible, “For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.” It is the freedom that comes with being a disciple of Jesus Christ. “If you abide in my word,” our Lord declares, “you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”In the book of Exodus, God chose Moses to lead the Israel people out of Egypt as slaves of Pharaoh.  They had been slaves for hundreds of years and wanted to be set free.  God heard them and decided to answer their prayers. Read Exodus 6:6-7 it says, Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. We are free to praise you, Lord . For this I am very thankful ! We need to remind ourself of who have made the greatest sacrificed for our freedom, who is Jesus Christ. Speak to yorself, lets not take our freedom, both physical and spiritual, for granted. You see  Satan's job is to keep us enslaved, by not knowing the truth, we can receive through Jesus Christ. You must believe in Jesus, and know in your heart for yourself that, He has set you free. Jesus knew the whole truth.  He was speaking and doing the will of His Father, and yet His words only set those free who were ready to be set free. So, the word from God tells us that, Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Read Colossians 1:13-14,He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Fire !

Happy 4th of July!
The word for today is - Fire !

You see, Jeremiah was called by God to be a Prophet to Judah, Jeremiah said, it's like fire shut up in my bones. You see this fire came by the direction of the Lord, it was sent from above, from heaven by God,"he rules over it"and "directs it". Now, that is powerful! That is the power of God!!! Read Jeremiah 1:4-5, Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Now, read Jeremiah 20:9,Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing (of holding back) , and I could not stay ( this means endure it) . And Jeremiah 20:10,For I heard the defaming (mocking or slander) of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him. Now, Jeremiah 20:11, But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.   You have to understand this fire, it's "A Burning Fire"  it is the word of God and the Holy Ghost like a burning fire in your sanctified Soul, Heart, Mind and body. Wow! Now, Jeremiah cried out with Praise, unburdening his heart to God. He had faithfully proclaimed God's Word and had received nothing in return but persecution and sorrow. Yet when he withheld God's Word for a while, it became fire in his bones until he could hold it back no longer. When God's living message of love, salvation and forgiveness becomes fire in your bones, you also will feel compelled to share it with others, regardless of the results. You must do the will of God (speak His word) and know that the Lord is with me and you; this was the promise of God to this prophet Jeremiah. So, now read Luke 9:23-26, it says,And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. You never have to be ashamed of what you do for Christ. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen!

The word for today is - Faith!

Good morning,
The word for today is - Faith!

Lets talk this morning about our faith walk. The word from God say, we must have faith in order to please God. Read Hebrews 11:6,But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.To know and experience what faith is and does, we must know and have faith: loyalty, belief and trust in God, now that's the key in your faith walk. It says with out it, it's impossible to please Him! So, without "confidence" in God, He cannot be pleased with the man who has no confidence in him; who doubts the truth of his declarations and promises; who does not believe that his ways are right, or that he is qualified to order your footsteps. This means that mankind thinks, that they have greater or more power then God. Wrong!!!!  Now, lets dig a little, if your Heavenly Father tells you something to do, but you believe you can do it better your way, then your out of the will of God. You see the will of God is doing it God's way only, now that's walking by faith not by sight. Can you identify yourself with those who are blind. It is so unnatural for us to walk without looking where we are going, yet that is precisely what Paul says we believers must do.  Read 2 Corinthians 5:7,"We walk by Faith, not by Sight."  Now,this principle has several applications. You see, those who "walk by sight" depend for authority upon what they experience, from man. But,those who "walk by faith" confide in revelation for authority, this means our faith and the revelation of God's word is the only way for the believers to walk as Scripture directs us.The problem is that the eyes of man are never satisfied read Proverbs 27:20,it says Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. The pursuit of wealth eventually becomes an obsession, a god read Matthew 6:24; Colossians 3:5, and man never reaches the point where he has enough. You see most people in this world are far more concerned with accumulating wealth than they are serving God. Read Deuteronomy 6:5, And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. It says with all your heart, this means Lord your my first love, your the first (in the morning, thanks for this day) and the last thing on our minds (thanks for seeing us through this day,at night). Also, the bible tells us, Either we will hate one and love the other. Read Matthew 6:24,No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Paul was no foolish visionary. With grim realism, he came to grips with all he had suffered read 2 Corinthians 11:24-28. But the reason he did not despair is found in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18,For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. Paul was hopeful in the face of suffering because his sights were set on heaven, not on this world. So, read 1 John 1:6-7,If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. That means it is done, by the blood of Jesus, so walk by the light of Jesus Christ. Have no fear, for He is your light. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Growing !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Growing !

We all need to grow in the word of God. The word from God tells us so, read 2 Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. What is the Word of Truth; the understanding of how and when and where it should be applied and what was the purpose and thought and Plan of the Divine Mind in the giving of this Word of Truth, rightly dividing the word. We are not to forget that the Lord promised that He would guide His people in the way of the Truth and show them things to come. We are to "study" to show ourselves approved on to God. We must study to avoid error and to shun all foolish questions and profane and vain babblings. Remember that only "the foundation of God standeth sure"; that all other foundations are worthless. The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, "The Lord knoweth them that are His." Let us study to see that we are striving daily to cast out all the old leaven of sin; to be sure that we are not content to allow it to remain in us and work in us; otherwise we prove by our course that our love for righteousness is growing weaker. So, as a Soldier in Christ you need to put on the whole armor of God, His word! Now, a Soldier he is polishing his armor all the time,he is getting things together for battle,(fighting the enemy). Why should we study? So, that we can be prepared to meet every experience in life. To prepare ourselves to become the person God wants us to be.To accomplish the purpose for which He created us for. The battlefield or realm in which our spiritual warfare takes place is in the mind of every believer in Christ. We wrestle, or strive and struggle in our minds against world systems, the flesh or the carnal nature, and the devil. The mind encompasses our thoughts (imagination, reasoning, and intellect), as well as our emotions and will. Now, this is awesome to me, read Jeremiah 1:5,“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Wow ! Then ,He tells us in Ephesians 3:16,“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.” Now, that's awesome! Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Be-still!

Good morning,
The word for today is -  Be-still!

Now lets look at Psalm 46:10,Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.God’s people are commanded to “be still” in this verse. The imperative gives a solemn duty to those in a covenant relationship with God,  Israel in the Old Testament, but today, it is given to Christians in Galatians 3:26-29. Now ,this command ,“be still” forces us to think on two things: that we are finite, and that God is infinite. That being the case, we need to drop our hands," relax," and “chill out.” It is God who knows our future, now we have to know that in our heart and mind, not merely intellectually, but practically, spiritually, and emotionally, that He is our God. He is the ruler of this earth and the all-powerful Creator of the Universe. Read  Psalm 46:1-2 ,“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth do change”. So, lets go dig some more, some people may say,How am I supposed to “be still” when all I want to do is lash back in anger, frustration, or bitterness?  What does it mean to “know” that He is God? This means unless we “know” that He is God, the text doesn’t say to “know God,” but “know that I am God.”  Knowing that He is God, should instill peace in our hearts.  Knowing that He is God means that we also know, that He is in control and that He loves us, He extends His grace and mercy to us.  As Paul stated; His grace is sufficient.  It absolutely is!  Knowing that He is God, takes the pressure off of our shoulders, and we give it to Him. God is in control. So read Psalm 24:1-10,The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Thank you Lord for your word. Amen !
