The word for today is - Demonstrate !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Demonstrate !

Read Colossians 3:10-11,And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. The word tells us in verses 12- 14,Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering: Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a guarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity ( love), which is the bond of perfectness. We are told to walk in the Spirit of love.  Also read, Ephesians 4:2-3,With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  Let's look at Matthew 4:2,And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.. Jesus came preaching the gospel of the kingdom, He came on a three-pronged mission: to save sinners who are incapable of saving themselves."For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:23);" to shew us the Father" and "declare the Father’s love" (John 14:8-9; 17:26); and to “destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8). In order to accomplish this mission, "About my Father’s business” (Luke 2:49), Jesus first began to gain the people’s attention by working many miracles and healing many of diseases, illnesses, and physical ailments. Why did Jesus do this? To accomplish His mission. This was His mission statement: 1.) Demonstrate the Father’s love for those suffering 2.) Demonstrate heaven’s power over Satan’s realm by undoing the devil’s handiwork of causing sickness, disease, and suffering 3.) Demonstrate His ability to “save to the uttermost” those who came to Him by offering them a better way.But His real mission was to demonstrate that there is a better world coming! One day God’s kingdom will be established and then, and only then, shall there be no more pain. Read in Revelation 21:4,And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain for the former things are passed away . Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Knowledge!

Good morning,
The word for today is - Knowledge!

The word “knowledge” in the Bible denotes an understanding, a recognition, or an acknowledgment. To “know” something is to perceive it or to be aware of it. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. If people are ignorant of the word they are of no use to the Kingdom of God. For it is written in Proverbs 20:11,"Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure and whether it be right." Young people prepare themselves for life's responsibilities through the discipline they receive at home.  Let's look at Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.each time we renew our commitment to resolving conflicts nonviolently, we honor Dr. King's legacy. Dr. King was leading a major struggle to eliminate racial segregation and discrimination in the South. His workers felt proud that they could contain their violence and learn not to hate their enemies.  Dr. King was a Christian minister and his turn-the-other-cheek philosophy represented some of the best principles for creating harmony among all people, regardless of race or religion. Young people today can learn from King that nonviolent protest and participation in the democratic process are the best means of bringing about change. From Dr. King's teachings, many of us realize that nonviolence is the best approach to resolving conflict. Dr. King understood better than most people that violence only begets more violence. To honor this legacy of nonviolence today in our lives help our children avoid violence by acknowledging their anger. Help them learn constructive ways of dealing with strong emotions.Children learn methods of resolving differences from us, and how we manage conflict within our family.Celebrate Black History Month with your children this February, and spend some extra time learning about the extraordinary accomplishments of African-Americans.The 20th century saw some of the most profound changes in human history. We know from Scripture that knowledge is a gift from God. Read Proverbs 2:6,tells us that, For the Lord giveth wisdom out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.  Do you know that the knowledge of God is the most valuable knowledge a human being can possess. God’s desire is for all to know Him, appreciate Him, and have a relationship with Him; therefore, He grants to all who truly seek Him the wisdom that leads to knowledge. Increasing in the knowledge of God is part of Christian maturity and is something all believers are to experience read 2 Peter 3:18, But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and SaviourJesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever.Amen.If anyone attempts to take anything away from this unveiling of God, and thereby tries to change what has been given to us through the word (Inspiration), then that person is guilty of trying to create a god in their own image and does not therefore know God intimately. The word tells us in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” Not some, but all ! Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Stand !

The word for today is- Stand !

Let's look at the first thing we must do, read  Ephesians 6:11,Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. All believers are to put on spiritual armour against the enemies of their souls. Spiritual strength and courage are needed for our spiritual warfare and suffering. We must resolve by God's grace, not to yield to Satan. If we give way, he will come in. We must stand on the word from God. Amen ! We must preserve in particular requests, notwithstanding discouragements. We must pray, not for ourselves only, but for all saints. The evil one(Satan) is mighty, and we are without strength, but our Redeemer is almighty, and in the power of his mighty we may overcome everything that comes our way.The word tells us to what? read Ephesians 6:13,Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Also,in James 4:7,Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. A person may have a large portion in things of this life, and yet be kept in the love of God; but he who sets his heart upon the world, who will conform to it rather than lose it, is an enemy to God.The spirit of the world teaches us to lay up or lay out for ourselves, according to our own fancies; God the Holy Spirit teaches us to be willing to do good for all mankind. Whose report do you believe? Look at Adam and Eve believed the report of the serpent (devil) when he said in Genesis 3:4,  “ye shall not surely die”. There is a song that goes “who’s report do you believe"?  We are to believe the report of the Lord”; but you look around the world today, and that doesn’t look to be true.  Some people will tell you that God makes you sick to teach you something. Not true ! The truth is you did something wrong. But the Bible says in Exodus 15:26,  “for I am the Lord that healeth thee." Read Psalms 107:20 says “He sent His word, and healed them and delivered them from their destructions”. Read Joshua 21:45, There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass. His word is true, His word change not, His word is forever....  .  Read John 1:1,In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.We are called believers, so let’s look at what believers are told to do, and act on it. In Jesus’ name we will cast out devils, we shall pray and lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Jesus tells us in Mark 16:15-18 that we are to go into the world and  preach ( stand on His word) the gospel to every creature, and these signs shall follow them that believes. Thank you God for your word. Amen!

The word for today is - Advice !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Advice !

Read Proverbs 24:6,For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.Almost everyone agrees that the Bible contains great advice about life, it really give us advice that we can apply to our own life in today’s world. What does the Bible say about the things you face every day at school, at home, and in your heart? Here you will find advice that comes directly from the Word Let's look at Luke 16:11, “So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?”  It appears from this verse that God uses money as a test of our management and stewardship skills before entrusting us with spiritual things.Who is giving you advice?  It is wise to have a goal in mind. Look at Proverbs 13:16, Every prudent man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly. Read verse 18, Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that  regardeth reproof shall be honoured. Verse20, He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Get wise counsel always ! Read Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Learn to walk before you run. Do one thing well, before you go to the next thing. Amen ! Do you want good counsel? read Joshua 1:8, This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. The also tells us in Proverbs 19:20-21, Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Always !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Always !

I have found that the key is to finding specific Bible verses and meditating on them. According to the Word, this is how faith comes. The more we soak up the truth of God’s Word, the more assured we become that He really is going to take care of us. The Lord said, I am always with  thy! Read the word from God, some bible verses about how god is always there for you and with you.

Deuteronomy 31: 6, Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them:  for the Lord  thy God,
he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee..
Hebrews 13:5,Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. .
Psalm 73:23, 24,Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Matthew 28:19, 20,Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Psalm 41:12,And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

Psalm 89:14-16,
Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

Psalm 139,
O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

The important thing to remember in the midst of the storm is that God is in control. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Delay!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Delay!

Why is your prayers delay? Is it because he sees we are not yet fit or ready? It may be he has things to put in place in us or in our church or in the world. Let's look at Ephesians 4: 1-13,(Unity in the Body of Christ) I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.  We are taught by these laws, that we must be very careful to do no wrong, either directly or indirectly. This is a delay in your prayer life.  If we have done wrong, we must be very willing to make it right. Read Luke 4:18,The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. God does not usually give special blessings to those who seek them half heartedly. God requires forgiveness, else He will not forgive us. If we are unwilling or unable to forgive, then there is no use asking God for anything.  We have no merits for any blessing from God. As Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-9, these things are given by grace, not because of anything we are or have done. For all have sinned and deserve death (Romans 3:23).The first and fundamental principle of answered prayer is faithfulness in prayer itself. Also,Praying in the will of God this means that the prayer must be in harmony with what God has revealed to be His plan in you (according to the will of God).Sometimes God does not say, "No," but "Wait." There is a proper timing for answered prayer. Sometimes God needs to wait until we are ready for the answer, or perhaps others need to be made ready. Sometimes a delay is necessary to fit into God's overall plan. Daniel learned that lesson, read the book of Daniel.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Thirst !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Thirst !

Let's read about Apostle Paul, all he had seen and experienced, late in his life.  Paul wrote of the passion that he had in Philippians 3:10 "That I may know Him." What is he talking about? Didn't he already know Jesus more closely than perhaps anyone else ever will? Of course he did. But the more he knew Jesus, the more he wanted to know Him. The more Paul progressed in spiritual strength, the more thirsty for God He became. Let's look at John 4:14,But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The spirit or the soul of man, as influenced by the Holy Spirit, must worship God, and have communion with him.Read John 7:37-38, In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. The Spirit dwelling and working in believers, is as a fountain of living, running water, out of which plentiful streams flow. Read John 3:18,He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Why would God instruct the world to seek Him ? We need to understand what  hangs in the  balance if we misunderstand these verses in revelation. They were not spoken by God to show his ability to speak poeticly but as a warning for us to understand the importance  of a relationship with him that has no restrictions. The Lord pulls no punches when it comes to serving him and him alone. It's throughout the bible and one verse that sticks out the most is  Matthews 6:33,But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Are you seeking the kingdom? Let's read Joshua 1:8,This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt  have good success.  Thank you God for your word. Amen !
