The word for today is - Relationship !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Relationship !

The Bible does describe three kinds of relationships with the opposite sex and gives certain characteristics of each relationship. Let's look at Proverbs it gives several characteristics of friends and friendships. Proverbs 17: 17 says, “A friend loveth at all times.” Proverbs 18: 24 says, A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Proverbs 27: 5-6 says,  Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. When a friend rebukes you, that rebuke can be trusted.Friendship involves three foundational elements, commitment to fulfill the responsibility of a friend, care and concern for the welfare of your friend, and affection. Do you not know we are brothers and sisters in Christ,God is our Father. God desires that we serve one another in love by giving of ourselves to help each other grow in Him.  Brothers and sisters relationships in Christ involve two foundational elements, commitment to fulfill the responsibility of a believer in Christ and care and concern for the believer. We are to do what ? Read  Galatians 5: 13 says, but by love serve one another. Let's look at marriage, it is a relationship between a man and a woman that binds them together. Genesis 2:24 says, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. Our Father deeply loves and desires that we show love to each other. We need a strong  foundation in all Relationships. We need a solid foundation on which to build on, the word of God. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Yoke !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Yoke !

Let's look at Matthew,11:29-30, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.  The yoke of Jesus is the yoke of repentance and faith followed by a singular commitment to follow him. The good news is that Jesus promises to all that come to him that he will give them rest. Rest from what? Rest from the heavy burden of trying to earn one’s way into heaven. This is talking about works. Rest from the oppressive yoke of self-righteousness. Jesus encourages those who are “heavy laden” to take his yoke upon them and in so doing they will find rest for their souls. It means that no matter how heavy our burdens may be turn them over to Jesus. Do you carry a heavy load? Give it to Jesus, that is the only way to find peace. Jesus doesn't care what you look like, or what car you drive, or how much money you have or what you wear. God looks at the heart of man, this is what He wants, your heart. Ask youself, Who will love me unconditionally? Jesus !  What makes Jesus’ yoke easy and his burden light is that in Jesus’ active obedience ( his perfect fulfillment of the Law of God), he carried the burden that we were meant to carry. Thank you Jesus ! All you need to do is call Him up, it is easy anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. He will in no way cast you out if you call on him. We have a sound in us that He (Jesus) wants to hear, He(Jesus) knows you troubles of this world. He is greater then the world and He is more then the world. You must believe in Him first. When you acknowledge you don't have the answers, but recognize He does call Him. God  always has our best interest in mind, He wants the best for us. Are you willing to take the first step? The first step is to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and savior. There is no other way,Jesus Christ Himself proclaimed that He is the only way to God.  Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Need !

Good morning,
The word for today is -  Need !

The important thing to remember in the midst of the “financial crisis” is that God is in control. Let's look at Philippians 4:19, But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We have to trusting God in the midst of good or bad circumstances. He is going to take care of his children, He is our Father. Notice the above verse says “All" it doesn’t say “some” or “most,” but it says that He will supply all your needs. But the bottom line is that God is faithful and He does what He promises. Are we faithful to Him?  We must be willing to give all we have if need be, just as Christ did. We are to be givers also, meeting the needs of other people and the church. That's why we are to give are best to help ours. Read  Malachi 3:8-10,Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Although we should do what we can to ensure that the churches and ministries we give to are good stewards of God's money, we can't always know for certain that the money we give will be spent correctly. We should not be overly burdened with this concern. Nor should we use this as an excuse not to give.  It's important for us to find a good church that is wisely managing its financial resources for God's glory and for the growth of God's kingdom. But once we give to God, we don't need to worry about what happens to the money. This is God's problem to resolve. If a church leader or ministry misuses its funds, God knows how to deal with it and them.  We rob God when we fail to give offerings to him. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Worrying !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Worrying !

We are told reasons not to worry, (Worrying accomplishes absolutely nothing). Worrying is the opposite of Trusting God. Do you believe that you can do something greater then God? Let's look at  Hebrews 13: 8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. This is telling us that Jesus does not change. It  means that God lives up to His promises ( His word). There are instances where God changed his mind  because of the responses of His people.Read 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.Worrying puts your focus in the wrong direction.Read Philippians 4:6-7, Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Did you get that ? Do you have the peace of God (His word) ? Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?Read Numbers 23:19, God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent; hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? The Bible tells the believers to “test everything” against the standard of the Bible and  then keep only the good things.Read 1Thessalonians 5:21,Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. James 1:17, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Why are you worrying ? Worrying should not be a part of a believer's life, give it to Jesus. No worry is too big or too small .God, tells us to give Him all of our worries and concerns. Read In 1 Peter 5:7, we are instructed to “casting all your care (anxiety)  upon him ; for he careth for you. Read Matthew 6:34,"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Also, Matthew 6:27, Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? This means, you can do nothing with out God !! Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Fellowship !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Fellowship !

Fellowship is one of God's principle purposes for human beings. Okay, none of us have perfect families, but the family unit was intended by God to provide us with daily fellowship. For people who have received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, their "family" extends beyond the limits of what most people consider as family. Let's look at Romans 12:5,So we being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. It is actually for our own good that God want us in fellowship with other believers.  We need each other to grow. Believers, are members of God's family, and there are millions of people in that family, so we now have many new brothers and sisters who are related to us by the blood, Jesus' blood. We don't become God's children until we are adopted, through faith in Christ. Let's look at Ephesians 1:5, Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. We are to encourage one another as members of Christ’s body.  Read 1Corinthians 12:12, For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. Also, read verse 14, For the body is not one member, but many.Together we fulfill an important purpose on the Earth.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Whole !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Whole !

To know God's will, we need to study God's Scriptures. In it His character is revealed to us. In it only truth, God's truth can be found. We can trust God's Word, it's the only source that will never lie to us. Let's look at Psalm 119:89,For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven( is eternal; it stands firm ). It is vitally important that we consider the Whole Word of God.  Read John 5:7-9,  The impotent man answered him (Jesus), Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.  Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.  And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. It appears that it is God's will for us to be made whole (Spirit, Soul and Body).Let's look at Ephesians 6:17:   And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. We are to rightly divide the Word of Truth. We are to keep the meaning when reading the Bible. We are to read on in the chapter to see what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach us. Preach the Word and read the Word, the whole Word, not pick and choose verses. The Bible is a book that is to be read completely,  Old and New Testament. We cannot pick and choose. God intended us to read All of it. This is how we will know when someone is not preaching the whole Word of God, by knowing  the Scriptures.Read Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. We need to line everything up with the Word of God. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Ashamed !

Happy New Year"s !!!!!!!!!!!
The word for today is - Ashamed !

Did you know that when Jesus was still living here on earth, there were people ashamed of Him? Did you know that still today there are people who are ashamed of Jesus?  Read  Mark 8:38,Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.Did you get that? Judas was ashamed of Jesus. He was at one time a follower of Christ and even an apostle,Luke 6:13-16. However, there came a time when he betrayed Jesus, Matthew 26:14-16, 47-49. Read Psalm 31:1,In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Read verse3, For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. This is a New Year who is leading you? What Spirit? Read Romans1:16,For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Why would you be ashamed of the one who saved you? We are justified freely, read Romans 3:24-25, Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. It's in His blood,Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.  Let's look at John 3:5, Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. You can not enter into the Kingdom with out the Spirit of God in you (the Holy Spirit).  Let's look at Nicodemus , he was afraid, or ashamed to be seen with Christ, therefore came in the night. Is there anyone or anything that has you living in shame? or ashamed to be seen with you? It's a New Year,We must be entirely different from what we were before (last year), we cannot be the same ( the same way of thinking) with that which was before.  A good man or woman acts truly and sincerely in all he or she does (the heart). What hurts the most is a friend or even a relative who did something you would never expect this person to do and it made you ashamed ,that hurts the most. On the other hand we need renewed hearts,by the Holy Ghost and the commanding principle (love). Thank you God for loving us, and never being ashamed to show yourself in us (the Holy Spirit). The word in Matthew 10:33,But whosoever shall deny me before men; him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.Do you not know that the Holy Spirit (dwells) in you? Thank you God for your word. Amen !
