The Living Word of God- Keeping Your Faith !

History MonthGeorge Washington Carver
African-American educator and agricultural researcher George Washington Carver (c. 1864-1943) grew up in Missouri with the white family that originally kept his mother as a slave. After earning his master’s degree in agriculture from Iowa State College in 1896, he headed the agricultural department at Booker T. Washington’s all-black Tuskegee Institute for nearly 20 years. Carver’s research and innovative educational programs were aimed at inducing farmers to replace expensive commodities, and he developed a variety of uses for crops such as cow peas, sweet potatoes and peanuts. Carver had abandoned both teaching and agricultural plot work by the late 1920s, though he continued to advise farmers and students.Carver was one of the best-known African-Americans of his era. Growing mainly from his research on peanuts, his rise to fame created myths and obscured much of the true nature of his work. His humble origins were part of his appeal to publicists who made him a national folk hero. He was born in the Missouri town of Diamond. His mother and older brother were the only slaves of Moses and Susan Carver, successful, small-scale farmers. His mother disappeared, presumed kidnapped by slave raiders, while George was an infant. He became both free and orphaned at about the same time.
The childless Carvers raised him and his brother as their own children. Being a sickly child, George was not required to do hard labor but helped around the house. Very early his intellect and knowledge of nature awed those around him, but he was not allowed to attend the neighborhood school because of his color. Thus at a young age he began a series of moves through the Midwest, seeking more education. He supported himself cooking, doing laundry, and homesteading before finally enrolling at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 1890. Learn by reading more, very powerful story, George Washington Carver.

 Good afternoon Children of God
The Living Word of God- Keeping Your Faith !

The question for you and I today, where is your faith? Do you trust God's Word?
God indicated to Sarah, who was long past the age of childbearing, that she would conceive a son. The Scripture states: “She considered Him faithful who had promised.” She took God at His word. Now understand, God is speaking, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”“The word of the Lord abides forever.”“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever". These verses is telling us that everything in life may change, but God’s Word remains constant. His truth never changes. Now Read James 1:6,But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Also read James 2:14,What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Without faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we are are nothing. Faith in God, although it seems easy, will take a lifetime of effort to keep. It is the true Faith and what every believer should aspire to have. Don't let your Faith waver when things in life don't go as you planned. We should work hard every day to remember that Jesus Christ is our Savior and God is our Father. We should always have faith in Him not ourselves. For it is written in Matthew 21:21,Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. You and I can either grow accustomed to listening to our feelings, thoughts, and circumstances, letting them control us, or we can be in the habit of taking God at His word despite our feelings and life experiences. Believe that His Word (God) is truer than our feeling,God wants you and me to be faithful men and women, so that we can have good success in all that we do .As we are faithful to exercise our “measure of faith” that has been given to each of us, our faith will grow.Heavenly Father, we come before thy in faith trusting Your Word. I pray  to be filled with your spirit and light everyday. Help me Lord to live by faith and not by sight. Help me to live my life by faith in you Lord. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

The Living Word of God-Choose !

History Month
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. died at 39 years old, Born: January 15, 1929, died: April 4, 1968 (assassination),Birthplace: Atlanta, Georgia, United States: Best known as: The civil rights hero who said "I have a dream"
Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. was an African-American clergyman who advocated social change through non-violent means. A powerful speaker and a man of great spiritual strength, he shaped the American civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama from 1954-59. There he led blacks in the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955-56, an action inspired by the arrest of Rosa Parks when she refused to give up her seat on a public bus. Racial segregation on city buses was ruled unconstitutional in 1956; the boycott ended in success, and King had become a national figure. King returned to his home town of Atlanta in 1959 and became co-pastor with his father of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, a position he held until his death. On the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation in 1963, King organized a march on Washington, D.C. that drew 200,000 people demanding equal rights for minorities.Martin Luther King won the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize, becoming at the time the youngest recipient ever. His writings included Stride Toward Freedom (1958, a history of the Montgomery bus boycott), Why We Can’t Wait (1963) and Where Do We Go From Here? Chaos or Community (1967). King was shot to death by James Earl Ray in 1968 while visiting Memphis, Tennessee.

Good morning Children of God
The Living Word of God-Choose !

Children of God, our everyday life in Christ is described as a race. We’re off and running in this marathon, and each sunrise presents new challenges as we hurry along. All the while, we know that God has provided the path we’re supposed to take. Today, choose your path foolishness or rightness? For it is written in 1 Corinthians 1:25-29, Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise,For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. God has giving wisdom to us, that by his word and Spirit, and from his fullness and treasures of wisdom and knowledge, we may receive all that will make us wise unto salvation, and fit for every service to which we are called for His glory. Don't be discouraged, lets choose to be like the wise man. Scripture says we are to "run with patience (endurance, persistence) the race set before us, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.Run your race with gladness, joy, peace and love. The prize awaiting us is the Savior of our souls, and He is watching and waiting for us at the finish line. He’s busy working on us as we run the race now, trust Him. Run the race that is set before you. But run it with the hope that God wants you to have in Christ. Heavenly Father we thank you everyday for your word of truth. We thank you for the things you do for us daily. Where would we be without you Lord. Thank you for always loving us. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

The Living Word of God - Learning Scriptures !

Happy History Month
We thank you Jesus!

Gospel Singer and Pastor Shirley Caesar

On a Sunday morning in Raleigh, a small woman with a big voice leads dozens of people praying and swaying in a service that is half-spoken, half-sung and goes on well into the afternoon. Pastor Shirley Caesar, the reigning Queen of Gospel, is preaching the Word. Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church, with a congregation of about 1,500 people, is in Raleigh, but it's Durham that holds the pastor's heart. "Durham is home," she says. "Not was, but is. Durham is my home. I was born here, went to school here, got in trouble here. Durham is home."And Durham is grateful: Pastor Caesar, winner of 11 Grammy Awards for her gospel music, will be honored for her life's work in service of the city at the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau's annual tribute luncheon on April 24. Caesar was born in 1938, when "the tobacco factories were blooming," she remembers. "As a child growing up, we still had dirt streets and potholes."She remembers being carried to church; church has been one constant in Caesar's life, and singing has been the other........ It is likely that Caesar will represent Durham for a long time yet. Her pride and work ethic are unmatched. Caesar's colleague and close friend Carolyn Sanders says, "She can be ever so tired. She has come into services from traveling from the West Coast to the East Coast on the redeye, and be dog tired. You put her in the pulpit and give her the microphone and it's like heaven and hell." "Something just wakes up in my spirit," Caesar says. "All you have to do is just put a mic in my hand and point the way. The Word motivates me, it really does. I said Lord, if you just put the Word in my mouth, I'll say it. I'll say it."
Good morning Children of God
The Living Word of God - Learning Scriptures !
The key to learning is asking questions right? The Scripture (God's Word) tells us those who seek will find Him. It's in Proverbs 8:17-18,I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. For it is also written in James 1:4-5,But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Ask yourself are you foolish or wise? The next question who is counseling you ? Godly Counseling is a way to help people. To help bring encouragement, comfort, and healing to your spirit. For it is written in Proverbs 1:5-7,A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The word of God says, faith without works is dead. Let us be doers of the word, and not just hearers only ! For it is written in Proverbs 3:13-19, Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. Jesus said,"Come Unto Me, all who labor & are heavy laden."This is a invitation to all, He says, "I am meek and lowly in heart." Read Matthew 11:28-29, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Can you hear Him calling your name___? The time is near, don't be wasting time tomorrow isn't promise to anyone. Lord,so teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom daily. Understand, each moment is precious, developing a relationship with God today will change your life. No matter what age you are, we could die anytime of the day or night. Ask yourself, are you ready___? For it's in Revelation 2:7, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. God doesn't want us to waste our lives away. He wants us to live everyday of our lives with a purpose for His glory. He wants you to find your purpose in life, forget your past, and face the present. Let us pray together Children of God. Heavenly Father, we come to the throne of grace crying out,"Holy,Holy is the Lamb of God." Let us learn to seek His face day and night. Let us learn to put first things first,GOD and HIS KINGDOM. For it is written in Matthew 6:33-34, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. The Great Commission has been spoking, And he (Jesus) said to them“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

Scripture
to meditate on today!
Proverbs 1:28-33,Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

The Living Word of God - Everyday !

                                                      History Month
James West an Inventor and Professor

James West is a U.S. inventor and professor who, in 1962, developed the electret transducer technology later used in 90 percent of contemporary microphones.1 of 4 quotes;“In those days in the South, the only professional jobs that seemed to be open to a black man were a teacher, a preacher, a doctor or a lawyer. My father introduced me to three black men who had earned doctorates in chemistry and physics. The best jobs they could find were at the post office.”James West, born in Prince Edward County, Virginia, on February 10, 1931, James West attended Temple University before working for Bell Labs. Along with Gerhard M. Sessler, he developed the foil electret microphone, an inexpensive, compact device that is now used in 90 percent of all contemporary microphones. A prolific writer as well, West has more than 250 patents and became a professor at Johns Hopkins University. Inventor James West was born on February 10, 1931, in Prince Edward County, Virginia. As a child, he was intrigued by how things worked and enjoyed taking apart appliances. James West, "If I had a screwdriver and a pair of pliers, anything that could be opened was in danger," West would later recollect. "I had this need to know what was inside." After an accident with a radio he had tinkered with, West became enthralled with the concept of electricity. He knew he wanted to pursue his interest in science academically, though his parents were concerned about future job prospects for an African-American scientist, due to the racism and Jim Crow laws of the South. They preferred for him to become a physician.Education,Undeterred, West headed to Temple University in 1953 to study physics and worked during the summers as an intern for the Acoustics Research Department at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey. He received a bachelor's degree in physics in 1957, and was hired for a full-time position as an acoustical scientist by Bell.

Children of God,
The Living Word of God - Everyday !

Let's start with 2 Corinthians4:16-18, For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Understand this, we must be renewed in the knowledge after the image of him that created us! People of God understand, our outward man will perish, our earthly tabernacles are tottering daily. The outward man decays, the inward man is renewed day by day, increases in holiness and righteousness by the spirit of God by His Word.  Understand Children of God you will be renewed by reading and studying God's Word daily. This is the commission giving to us, meditate on the Word of God. For it is written in Joshua 1:8-9,This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. We are charged by God to meditate on His Word. Heavenly Father, we seek your face daily. According to Your Word Lord in Matthew 16:19,And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. We have been given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and whatever we bind and loose on earth shall be bound and loosed in Heaven. Thank you Lord for Your Living Word. Amen !

Best known as: The bishop who won a Nobel prize for opposing apartheid.Desmond Tutu received the 1984 Nobel peace prize for his nonviolent work against apartheid, the South African government’s policy of racial separateness. Raised in several communities in the Transvaal region, he was educated at a Pretoria teachers’ college, a Johannesburg seminary and King’s College, London. He was ordained a priest in the Anglican Church in 1961, became Bishop of Lesotho in 1976, and by 1986 was his country’s highest Anglican official as Archbishop of Cape Town. In the 1970s and ’80s he urged global economic pressure against South Africa and led a “defiance campaign” against a government ban on anti-apartheid demonstrations. He and other members of the clergy often intervened in confrontations between demonstrators and police or between mobs and informants. In the 1990s, with apartheid finally defeated, he headed the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in Nelson Mandela‘s new government. Tutu retired as archbishop in 1996 but remained outspoken in domestic and world affairs until 2010, when he announced he was “slowing down” his public activity. The name Tutu, in his family’s traditional IsiXhosa language, means “ash.” His middle name, Mpilo, means “hope.” During apartheid he downplayed his specific ethnicity in favor of wider Black unity… He married the former Nomalizo Leah Shenxane, who goes by Leah Tutu, in 1955. They have a son, Trevor, born in 1956, and three daughters: Thandeka Theresa, 1957; Naomi, 1960; and Mpho (meaning “gift”), 1963… His authorized biography, Rabble-Rouser for Peace, by South African journalist John Allen, was published in 2006.

His recording label, Dexterity Sounds, has produced Grammy-nominated albums in collaboration with EMI Gospel Music… He is in the cast of his 2004 film, appearing as himself

Good morning Children of God
The weekend Living Word of God - Unconditional Love !

Children of God encourage one another and build each other up daily by God's Word in 1 John 3:18-20, Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. This weekend many people are exchanging cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “Valentine” that's Awesome! But children of God, please don't abandoned your first Love, Jesus Christ ! Let us learn to Love by God's Spirit and Truth, turn from darkness, run to the Light. You have to acknowledge Jesus Christ, First ! For it's in John 3:18-20, He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved (exposed). Get this key note, Jesus is speaking,"I AM THE LIGHT" of the world. The same was in the beginning with God, He has spoking and warned us, don't turn away from Him (Jesus)! Now get some understanding, all things were made through Him and nothing was without Him. For it is written in John 1:1-5, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. God's love, is described in the Bible, as clearly unconditional, because God is Love ! God reveals His love toward us in the giving of His Son, Jesus Christ, as the propitiation (that is, the appeasement of God’s righteous wrath) for our sins. God loves us because it's His nature to love and that love moves Him toward benevolent action.Understand Love comes from God. For it is written in 1 John 4:7-10, Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The unconditional nature of God’s love is most clearly seen in the gospel. The gospel message is basically a story of divine rescue.Christ knows and observes everything though in heaven, yet he walks in the midst of his churches on earth, observing what is wrong in them. Amen ! For it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14-16, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. We must not defile ourselves by converse with those who defile themselves with sin. Come out from the workers of iniquity, and separate from their vain and sinful pleasures and pursuits; from all conformity to the corruptions of this present evil world. Heavenly Father we come before thy at the throne of Grace crying out, "Holy, Holy is the Lamb of God"! Cry out Children of God, " Hallelujah"! "Praise to your Holy Name Lord"! Therefore you have kept your promise because you are righteous, for you are Lord. For it is written in Nehemiah 9:6,Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

Scripture to meditate on this weekend in Love!
Paul's Prayer for the Ephesians, and my prayer for Us !For it is written in Ephesians 3:16-19,That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

The Living Word of God - Where is your hope ?

                                       History Month - Mahalia Jackson
Mahalia Jackson died at the age of 60 years old. Born on October 26, 1911, she died January 27, 1972 of heart failure. Her birthplace was New Orleans, Louisiana. She was best known as the Gospel singing legend.  Mahalia Jackson grew up singing in church. She moved from New Orleans to Chicago when she was a teenager, and eventually went into business in real estate and as a shop owner. All the while she continued to sing gospel, turning down offers to perform professionally. She finally began recording in the 1930s, and a decade later her own "Move On Up A Little Higher" became a million-seller. She toured the world, appeared in films and on television, and performed at the inauguration of U.S. President John F. Kennedy. She is considered one of America’s greatest gospel singers. Amen !

Good morning Children of God,

The Living Word of God - Where is your hope ?

The greatest source of hope is found in the Bible, where we discover that true hope can be found in Christ alone. For it is written in Psalm 39:6-7, Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Hope is the essence of the believers faith. We hope to go to heaven one day, we hope that God hears and answers our prayers, and we hope that our labor isn’t in vain. Amen ! The biblical definition of hope is "confident expectation." Hope is a firm assurance regarding things that are unclear and unknown, for it is in Romans 8:24-25,For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? Very powerful verse understand, what we hope for, we see not, then do we wait with patience for it?  Yes ! For it is written in Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hope is a fundamental component of the life of the righteous. God has warned us by His Word. Now, read Proverbs 23:17-19, Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long. For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way. Understand, without hope, life loses its meaning. Let us look at Jeremiah's Hope, read Lamentations 3:17-20,And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity. And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. Heavenly Father, we give thanks to you God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always to you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints; because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel. For it is written in 1Peter 1:3-5,Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.Let us seek your face day and night. Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

Today's Scripture !
For it is written in Romans 5:1-5, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

The Living Word of God - Blessing !

Did you know that, Blacks Absent from History Books? Americans have recognized black history annually since 1926, first as "Negro History Week" and later as "Black History Month." What you might not know is that black history had barely begun to be studied-or even documented-when the tradition originated. Although blacks have been in America at least as far back as colonial times, it was not until the 20th century that they gained a respectable presence in the history books. We owe the celebration of Black History Month, and more importantly, the study of black history, to Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Born to parents who were former slaves, he spent his childhood working in the Kentucky coal mines and enrolled in high school at age twenty. He graduated within two years and later went on to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard. The scholar was disturbed to find in his studies that history books largely ignored the black American population-and when blacks did figure into the picture, it was generally in ways that reflected the inferior social position they were assigned at the time.

Good morning Children of God,

The Living Word of God - Blessing !
People of God it's a blessing to awake everyday. To give God all the glory and honor for watching over us. Amen ! While in this world, where there is so much corruption in the heart of people God loves us. Now understand this, a covetous person makes a god of his or her money; places that hope, confidence, and delight, in worldly good, which should be in God only. Those who allow themselves, either in the lusts of the flesh or the love of the world, belong not to the kingdom of grace, nor shall they come to the kingdom of glory. We have to be thankful for the peace that God gives to His beloved children daily.People of God we're called to do a good work for the Lord. In all that you do from this day forward, don't forget to give God thanks. For it is written in Colossians 3:15-17,And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. People let us do everything in the name of the Lord, believing in Him by His  Word and Power. Now let us look at Ephesians 5:1-4,Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. The desire to give glory to God extends beyond praise and worship, God has giving us a warning. We must be faithful and true to Him.The prophet, Jeremiah, urged God’s people to repent and confess. Listen, Do not be to proud, for the Lord has spoken. Give glory to the Lord your God before it is too late ! Once again God demanded the truth. “If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings. As we worship in true holiness, the real beauty of God Himself is revealed. It is the beauty of the angels giving Him glory in the heavenly realm; it is the beauty of the saints, partaking of God’s divine nature. For it is written in Malachi 2:1-2,And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Heavenly Father, Children of God get understanding,For it is written in 1John 3:9-10,Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. We thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

The Living Word of God - Connecting With Him (God) !

History People of God..
Lewis Latimer (1848 – 1928)

Lewis H. Latimer was born 1848, in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Latimer was one of the first major African American inventors, responsible for such items as the first water closet (or toilet) for railroad cars in 1874 and a forerunner of the air conditioner in 1886. He was most noted for his work with Thomas Edison and for making electric light available to the world. In 1884, Latimer became an engineer at the Edison Electric Light Company, joining Thomas Edison's elite research team, Edison's Pioneers, which had only 28 charter members. Latimer was the only African-American in this prestigious group. What He Invented: The Carbon Filament For The Light Bulb. Why It’s Important: Latimer is one of the greatest inventors of all time. Thomas Edison may have invented the electric lightbulb, but Latimer helped make it a common feature in American households. In 1881 he received a patent for inventing a method of producing carbon filaments, which made the bulbs longer-lasting, more efficient and cheaper. In 1876, he worked with Alexander Graham Bell to draft the drawings required for the patent of Bell’s telephone.

Good moring Children of God
The Living Word of God - Connecting With Him (God) !

Ask yourself do you have a close personal and intimate relationship with the Lord? Understand knowing Him (God) is not enough, the devils also believe, it is in James 2:19-20,Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?  Now read Galatians 2:16, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Satan goes after your mind by putting his lies into your thoughts. His purpose is to keep you ignorant of God’s will for you. But once you begin to take hold of the principles of God, you’ll have a great defense against him (Satan). Do you have a desire to be closer to God? Read Romans 8:31-32, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Let us look at David, he was inspired by God's omnipresence  (everywhere present) and His omniscience (all-knowing and all-wise) and all powerful!  Is God your daily bread ? Although God is invisible to us mortals, He should be the most reliable, trusted and loving reality in your life! Do you hear Him calling you? Will you answer the call? A relationship with God begins when God draws us, by His Spirit. For it is written in Romans 8:38-39,For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Are you seeking Him daily? It is written in James 4:8, Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. We are continually faced with choices everyday, who's report do you believe? The word of God says, "Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus." For it is written in Philippians 2:5-7, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Understand this, the mind is like a sponge that will soak up whatever you expose it to, whether good or evil, and what goes in stays in, to a great extent. God desires a close relationship with everyone ! Heavenly Father, forgive us for not seeking your will daily. It's in Acts17:27,That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us. We thank you Lord for giving us a second change. We thank you Lord for Your One and Only begotten son Jesus Christ.  Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

Scripture to meditate on today! For it is written in Psalm 139:7-14, Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

The Living Word of God - Grateful !

                                    Booker T.Washington, 1856-1915
Booker T. Washington, 1856-1915, Educator. Booker Taliaferro Washington was the foremost black educator of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He also had a major influence on southern race relations and was the dominant figure in black public affairs from 1895 until his death in 1915. Born a slave on a small farm in the Virginia backcountry, he moved with his family after emancipation to work in the salt furnaces and coal mines of West Virginia. After a secondary education at Hampton Institute, he taught an upgraded school and experimented briefly with the study of law and the ministry, but a teaching position at Hampton decided his future career. In 1881 he founded Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute on the Hampton model in the Black Belt of Alabama. Though Washington offered little that was innovative in industrial education, which both northern philanthropic foundations and southern leaders were already promoting, he became its chief black exemplar and spokesman. In his advocacy of Tuskegee Institute and its educational method, Washington revealed the political adroitness and accommodationist philosophy that were to characterize his career in the wider arena of race leadership. He convinced southern white employers and governors that Tuskegee offered an education that would keep blacks "down on the farm" and in the trades. To prospective northern donors and particularly the new self- made millionaires such as Rockefeller and Carnegie he promised the inculcation of the Protestant work ethic. To blacks living within the limited horizons of the post- Reconstruction South, Washington held out industrial education as the means of escape from the web of sharecropping and debt and the achievement of attainable, petit-bourgeois goals of self-employment, landownership, and small business. Washington cultivated local white approval and secured a small state appropriation, but it was northern donations that made Tuskegee Institute by 1900 the best-supported black educational institution in the country.

For the Children of God

The Living Word of God - Grateful !
Let us start with being grateful for the vision of God's power and  authority ! For it is written in Daniel 2:44-45,And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. For as much as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. The stone cut out without hands, represented the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, which should be set up in the kingdoms of the world, upon the ruins of Satan's kingdom in them. The Lord shall reign, not only to the end of time, but when time and days shall be no more. Let us be grateful for we have a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. For it is written in Hebrews 12:27-29, And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:For our God is a consuming fire. Understand we are the children of God, trust His Word, watch and pray. For it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:23-26, But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. There are examples of believers’ thankfulness in the New Testament as well. We are thankful because God is worthy of our praise. Paul was heavily persecuted, yet he wrote,in 2 Corinthians 2:14-17, Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.Let us pray together, Heavenly Father, we are grateful to you. Thank you, Lord, for the blessings you have bestowed on us. Lord I come before You, desiring to provide thanks. Father, I have so much to be thankful for, things unseen and seen, that You have done in my life.We give you Lord the highest praise ! Thank you Lord for your Living Word. Amen !

The Living Word of God - Freedom !

Happy History month..

First HARRIET ROSS TUBMAN,(1819-1913) timeline; 1819 Birth,  Araminta Ross [Harriet Tubman] was born into slavery in 1819 or 1820, in Dorchester County, Maryland. Given the names of her two parents, both held in slavery, she was of purely African ancestry. She was raised under harsh conditions, and subjected to whippings even as a small child. She slept as close to the fire as possible on cold nights and sometimes stuck her toes into the smoldering ashes to avoid frostbite. Cornmeal was her main source of nutrition and occasionally meat of some kind as her family had the privilege to hunt and fish. Most of her early childhood was spent with her grandmother who was too old for slave labor. Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. Born a slave, Harriett Tubman became a famous "conductor" on the Underground Railroad, leading hundreds of slaves to freedom. Harriet Tubman became famous as a “conductor” on the Underground Railroad during the turbulent 1850s. In (1913 her death) Before she died on March 10, 1913, she gave her home for the elderly to the Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Tubman was buried with military rites in Fort Hill Cemetery, a short drive from the home. A year after her death, Auburn declared a one-day memorial to its anti-slavery hero. Residents of the city that day unveiled the Harriet Tubman Plaque, which remains on display at the entrance of the Cayuga County Court House. She has since received man honors, including the naming of the Liberty Ship Harriet Tubman, christened in 1944 by Eleanor Roosevelt. On June 14, 1914 a large bronze plaque was placed at the Cayuga County Courthouse, and a civic holiday declared in her honor. Freedom Park, a tribute to the memory of Harriet Tubman, opened in the summer of 1994 at 17 North Street in Auburn. In 1995, Harriet Tubman was honored by the federal government with a commemorative postage stamp bearing her name and likeness. Good morning Children of God,
The Living Word of God - Freedom  !
Scripture warns us about false promises of freedom. For it is written in Ezekiel 33:13, When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."Do you not know that?  Read 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. The question is do you desire true freedom? Now read Galatians 5:1-2, Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. Understand, you were called to freedom by God. For it is written in Galatians 5:13, For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. True freedom occurs only in the heart when it  is changed from within and made new. Why ? Because the heart needs to change first. If our hearts are not changed, neither will our behavior change daily.  That’s why the Bible says that true freedom begins in the heart. We act on our thoughts and behave according to our desires. True freedom only exists in Jesus Christ children of God. For those that are free, stay strong and finish your race set before thy!  May God bless you and stay worthy of the calling children of God! Let us be servants to one another by the Holy Spirit.Amen ! Thank you Lord for your loving kindness. Amen again ! Click on- http://www.nyhistory.com/harriettubman/home.htm
