The word for today is - Understanding!

Good morning,
The word for today is - Understanding!

Let's get a better understanding of God. God created all that we see,the sun, the moon and the stars, the animals and plants, everything that is. Read Genesis 1:1-3,In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void: and darkness, was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Read Psalm 118:24,This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.  In Isaiah chapter 62 the Lord is continuing to tell us some details about the future when God is going to fulfill all the promises that He has ever made. The Bible says in Isaiah 62:2-3,And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. It is quite amazing what Jesus is going to do for the nation of Israel, considering how much they failed Him. They not only failed Him: they murdered Him. What God does for the ones He has called is totally unmerited and undeserved. But that is what grace is all about: the unmerited favor of God. The Lord has wonderful things planned for all of us, and we deserve none of them. Let's look at God's love for us, He tells us that He wants someone to love. God is love. He offers His love to the world, and He is going to find ways to demonstrate His love to those who Love Him . Read Proverbs 3: 1-6, My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. We must get understanding, trust in the Lord with all our hearts, believing he is able and wise to do what is best for us. We must acknowledge him in all our ways. Read Job 28:12-13,But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. This means you can not get it here on earth, it's the Holy Ghost and it cannot be bought with money. The word from God tells us in Luke 6:22-28,Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Life !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Life !

One of the most notable discourses was between Jesus and Nicodemus. Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish council, went to Jesus during the night to discover how to live the Christian life. Jesus explains to Nicodemus that he must be born again. Read John 3:3, Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. You must be born again,Spiritual life. Read John 14:6,Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. God is a Spirit. Let's look at John 10:15,As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.Did you get that? He layed down His life for us. Our purpose in life, as God originally created man, is to  glorify God and enjoy fellowship with Him,to have good relationships with others, and to have dominion over the earth. Another part of our purpose is to see life on this earth in perspective. Unlike those whose focus is on this life on earth, but King David looked for His satisfaction in the time to come.  Read Psalm 17:15,As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. He is talking about when he awoke ,in the next life. Now,that is the abundant life. Amen ! You must know that the devil wants to stop you from living. Read 1Peter 5:8, Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Do you want to live? God gave us the keys to come in. Read Romans 10:9, That, if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Everyone needs to know that life has purpose, that death isn't the permanent end of our existence. Although mankind is physical, subject to death, the good news is that God promises a resurrection to eternal life to everyone who repents, worships God and accepts Jesus as the Messiah and His sacrifice. The first resurrection to immortality will take place when Christ returns to establish God's Kingdom on this earth. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Whom !

Good morning,
The word for today is -  Whom !

Jesus asked, the disciples a question?  Whom do ye tell the people that I am? What do ye speak or preach concerning me? Look at Luke 9:18-20, And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I AM ? They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again. He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God. Many people assume there are many paths to God and that each religion represents an aspect of truth. Not true! Read John 14:6, Jesus saith, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one cometh unto the Father, but by Me." He didn't claim to be one of many equally legitimate paths to God. He claimed to be the only way to God. Who does the Bible say Jesus is? The Son of God, the living God, the Holy One, the Savior, the only Way to God, the Redeemer, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the "Anointed"one, the"Messiah", the great I AM, and the righteous Judge. First question, Who do you say that, I AM? That is the inescapable question. He alone can redeem you, and free you from the power of sin. He alone can transform you, restore you to fellowship with Him, and give your life eternal purpose. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior? Read John1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Also, read verse 1:14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,We must never be ashamed of Christ and his gospel. Read Revelation 1:17-18, And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore; Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Read Revelation 1:8," I am Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Jesus is asking, the disciples today the same question? Whom do ye tell the people that I am? What do ye speak or preach concerning me?  Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Mind !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Mind !

The first key to unlock that door is in Romans 12:2,And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Can you read that again? And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Do not fall in with the customs of those who walk in the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, the earthly things. The work of the Holy Ghost first begins in the understanding, and is carried on to the will, affections, and conversation, till there is a change of the whole man into the likeness of God, in knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness. The word tells us we fight with spiritual enemies,  the powers of sin and Satan in the hearts of men! Spiritual Warfare, read  2 Corinthians 10:3-6, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. Let's look at what God has giving us, read 2 Timothy 1:7,For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Do you not know who will carry you through? God will and has carry us through opposition. Those who cleave to the gospel, need not be ashamed,  but those who oppose it, shall be ashamed. Read Isaiah 26:3, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. So, we need to rejoice! Read Philippians 4:4-9,Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. So, what ever you do,read 1 Corinthians 10:31, Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Heart !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Heart !

Let's look at the heart, most people who "asked Jesus into their hearts" will admit that one of God's requirements is faith. Let's look at Hebrews 11:6,"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God ,must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Those who ask Jesus into their hearts usually do so through prayer, asking God to forgive them. Prayer is good ! Let's look what the Lord says in Matthew 7:21, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." This means do what He says in the word from God. Also, read Matthew 10:32-33, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." Did you get that?  publicly acknowledge or speak of the goodness of Jesus and all He has done for us. Read Proverbs 4:23,Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. We must set a strict guard upon our souls; keep our hearts right and from getting hurt. A good reason is given; because out of it are the issues of life. Above all, we should seek from the Lord Jesus that living water, the sanctifying Spirit, issuing forth unto everlasting life. We should be asking the Lord to enable us to follow you more closely for the time to come. We need your Spirit in our hearts. What's in your heart today is it, Love or envy, evil ,or ____ ? go to the Lord in prayer and get right. Read Philippians 4:6,Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. God needs not to be told about our wants or desires; he knows them better than we do; but he will have us show that we value the mercy, grace and feel our dependence on him. Who are you depend on ?  Read James 3:13-18,Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. This is the key, read James 4:7-8,Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Rise !

Good morning,
Happy Resurrection Day!
The word for today is - Rise !

Read John 20:9, For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. The Resurrection, the first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, seeking Jesus' body. When Mary Magdalene saw Him, Jesus didn't allow Mary to touch Him.Why?  He was essentially saying, "It's not going to be the way it used to be. You can't hold on to Me in the old way . It's a new covenant." Read John 20: 17-18, Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. Did you get that?  Jesus taught his disciples that they, too, would be raised from the dead.Read Revelation 1:18,"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."Let's look at the story of Jesus, Lazarus and the two sisters Martha and Mary. On one occasion, Lazarus was sick and we read in John 11:3, Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold,he whom thou lovest is sick. Yet we read that Jesus delayed going. Why? It was not because Jesus did not care, but that he might teach a profound lesson to his disciples. By the time Jesus arrived Lazarus was dead. Yet he told the disciples in John 11:14,"Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him." A lesson to teach his disciples belief and faith in Jesus and the power given to him by God, to raise the dead. Now when Martha saw Jesus, she said to him"Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died." verse 21. Jesus said to her"Thy brother shall rise again." verse 23.  Now notice Martha's answer very carefully. She said "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." verse 24.  Also, read 11: 25-26, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Read John 11: 43, And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And in verse 44, He that was dead came forth read it. The life which Jesus promises to his followers when he comes back is something quite different from our lives today with all the cares and worries that we all experience. We have seen already that Jesus Christ is coming back to set up the Kingdom of God and reign over the whole earth. When he come to do this, he will raise the dead. Then those who have been faithful will be given eternal life.  In 1 Thessalonians 4: 14-17 ,we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air".You might think that he is speaking of going to heaven. But look again. Paul does not speak of meeting the Lord in heaven, but meeting him in the air. So after the resurrection of the dead, those raised will be gathered together with those disciples who are alive at the coming of Jesus. Then the judgement will take place.  As we look forward to that time, the apostle Paul tells us to be "steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord". Thank you God for your word. Also, thank you for loving us!  Amen!

The word for today is - Seed !

The word for today is- Seed !

Read Matthew 17:20, And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. The mustard-seed is the smallest of all seeds. Some of us plant seed (sharing the truth- the word) about Jesus. It may include teaching or preaching the word. Also,It can be as simple as telling someone how you came to God. Some people talk about the goodness of Jesus and all He has done for us. God seeks men and women who desire to be involved in sowing, watering, and harvesting. There are no special qualifications, only that you believe Him and depend on Him with all your soul, mind, and (heart) will.Read Galatians 6:9,And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As there are two sorts of sowing, one to the flesh, and the other to the Spirit. For now it's time to plant a seed for the Spirit, the present time is seed time ! Let's look at Psalm 126:6, He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. And remember that God is not mocked; for whatever a man soweth that shall he reap. The key is in James 5:7,Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.We need the word from God, the Word of God alone overcomes all obstacles in our lifes. Read 2 Peter chapter 1. Also,Read Romans 13:11,And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Did you get that? It's time to get ourselves ready, the day is at hand. Now, awake out of the sleep of carnal security, sloth, and negligence; out of the sleep of spiritual death. Awake, plant a seed today, God's Word is alive it's quick and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword. read Hebrews 4:12 ! Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Arise!

Good morning,
The word for today is - Arise!

Our goal should be to walk daily with Jesus, to become like him in our actions and by the way we talk and live. He must increase as we decrease. He must become greater within us.His way of life and the will of our heavenly Father must be put first in our lives.Let us put off our garments of selfishness and be clothed in Christ, in his righteousness to have the mind of Jesus Christ filled with compassion and love for the saint (the believers) and the sinner is a like, to know the will of God for our lives and live daily in obedience to it. As the Bible says 1 Corinthians 2:16,For who hath known the mind of the Lord , that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ . Let's first look at Isaiah 60:1-5, Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. Those who are the elect of God, holy and beloved, ought to be lowly and compassionate towards others.  Read Matthew 11:29,Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.Worldly men burden themselves with fruitless cares for wealth and honour, Those who labour to establish their own righteousness also labour in vain.  When we come to God as a Father, we must remember that he is Lord of heaven and earth, which obliges us to come to him with reverence as to the sovereign Lord of all; yet with confidence, as one able to defend us from evil, and to supply us with all good. Christ invites all to come to him.  Let's read Romans 12:20-21,Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Righteousness !

Good morning,
The word for today is -  Righteousness !

Let's look at the first key, read Romans 5:1-5, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.Did you get that ?  Being justified by faith we ( the believer) have  peace with God. The holy, righteous God, cannot be at peace with a sinner, while under the guilt of sin. Let's look at John 3:21,But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Read 1 Peter 5:10,But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.Do you not know that you are blessed? Read Psalm 106:3,Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.God's people have reason to be cheerful people. Are you a cheerful person?  Read 2 Thessalonians 1:3-5,We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer. Let's read Philippians 2:13,For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Did you get that ? For it is God who worketh in you. This should encourage us to do our utmost, because our labour shall not be in vain,  we must still depend on the grace of God.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Reveal !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Reveal !

All through the Bible God told his people what was going to happen. He spoke to all the men who would have an ear to listen.God is no respector of persons. If he spoke to the people in the Bible who would listen, He will speak to us also, if we have a hearing ear. Read Romans 10:17, So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. While the prophecy of Hosea reveals the heart of God, the prophecy of Joel reveals the hand of God, the hand that controls destiny, the hand that moves history. Do you not know who you belong too? We are God's children. Read Deuteronomy 29:29,The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us (God's children) and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. The Lord tells us what to do. Read Jeremiah 33:3, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Mighty means hidden. The Lord has reveal the kingdom to us. Read Matthew 13:11, He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you (disciples) to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. Also Luke 8:10-11,And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.Read Romans 16:25-27,Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen ! Let's look at God's power. Read 2 Corinthians 4:3-6, But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. The word tells us He will reveal Himself and things to come. Read Psalm 25:14, The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.  And Isaiah 40:5, And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. And, we know God can not lie.Read Amos 3:7,Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. So now the Lord is about to reveal through Amos, His servant and prophet, what He will do to the 10 tribes, that forsaking their idols and turning to Him, they might be freed from the impending peril; which is of the great mercy of God. He says evil is about to come, that He may not be compelled to inflict it.The secrets of God are revealed to us, so that we may inform the people that   they may avoid the evil, and start walking close with God, we have his favor. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Relationship!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Relationship!

Do you have a personal relationship with God? ______! Above all other goals and considerations, the Father desires to establish a connection with us, a relationship. Read Romans 8:14-15, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the  sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, "Abba,Father." There are going to be times when you are going to have to walk this thing all by yourself, seeking Him. You can’t use the reputation of your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, your husband, your wife, or even your pastor. You have to establish a relationship with Jesus Christ for yourself. Jesus says that what he would really like is to have you recognize his voice, open the door and invite him to come in. This relationship, is much more profound than any other possible affiliation. This type of relationship is also expressed by Christ in an earlier instance. After the last supper, one of the apostles asked him a question. His response was in John 14:22-23,Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with Him. Amen! Our Savior emphasized to his disciples that his relationship with them, and certainly with us as well, if indeed we are his disciples, was based primarily on relationship. Read John 15:14-16,Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants (slaves); for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Two thousand years ago God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to come to this earth and die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. The word says in John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. God made a way for us to come back to Him. And, He is offering this salvation to all as a free gift. Christ makes it very clear and plain the fact that both he and the Father desire a very special type of relationship with true believers. All you have to do is believe and receive it. What a friend we have in Jesus, no matter what arises, His always there when you need Him, His always forgiving us,and His always stay in touch with us.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Keeper!

Good morning,
The word for today is -Keeper !

Am I my brothers keeper? Yes ! Read Galatians 6:2,Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.  What does the Bible have to say about helping needy people, the poor, the homeless, the orphans, and the widows? Read Exodus 22:22,Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. This means, "Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan." Also, read Exodus 23:6, Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause. We are supposed to have compassion and to be giving to the less fortunate? In Matthew 19:21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Read John 16:13,Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Read from the beginning in Genesis 4:1-15,And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Unity

The word for today is - Unity !

There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that God wants His people to live in peace and harmony. In other words, we may not see "eye to eye" on everything, but we still are "one in Christ Jesus" and should be willing to accept one another in love.  Let's look at Psalm 133:1,Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Read Romans 6:5, For,if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.  Read 1 Corinthians 1:10, Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. In Ephesians 4:1-3,I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. The word is telling us, As a prisoner of the Lord I ( the word from God) urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. To bear with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit. Let's read Ephesians 4:11-13, And he gave some, apostles;and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Did you get that? To prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. Then read Colossians 3:14,And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. The word is telling us that over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Water !

Good morning,
The word for today is - Water !

Let's look at Revelation 21:6,And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Do you have a thirst that need to be filled? You can get it freely. There is a (place) presence with God for the believers, that he will dwell with them  continually. If you do something first, you must believe in Him (Jesus). Read John 7:38, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. For,this is the only way in ! Jesus, tells us in John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.Did you get that? No man cometh to the Father but by me ( Jesus)! Man can not obtain any of these things except by the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ. We come in his name ( Jesus)  and depending on his merits. We are ignorant, and he alone can guide us. We are sinful, and it is only by his merits that we can be pardoned. We are blind, and only He can enlighten us. God has appointed him as the Mediator, and He has ordained that all blessings shall descend to this world through Him. He has put the world under His control; He has given the affairs of men into His hand, and has appointed Him to dispense whatever may be necessary for our peace, pardon, and salvation. We're talking about Jesus.. Read  Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Also, read  Acts 5:31,Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins..This means , He has been giving "dominion" and "power," especially the power which is needful to give repentance and the pardon of sins.Christ gives this grace to the chosen ones ( the believers), which he does by sending his Spirit. There is a fulness in Christ for the believers, there is a fountain of living running water. Read John 3:16-17,For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son ( Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  Let's look at Matthew 16:15-17,He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. This is showing us that they believed Jesus to be more than man, that He is the Son of the living God. Who do you say that I AM (Jesus)__? Let's look at Genesis 1, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.And God called the firmament Heaven. God has given us the living water! Read Isaiah 9:6,For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Treasures !

Good morning,
The word for today is- Treasures!

Let's look at Matthew 6:19,Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: Jesus taught his disciples to strive for heavenly things, instead of heaping up earthly riches. The disciples were told what to do when they still lived here on earth caring for the poor. The apostle Paul teachings and taught the samething. Paul wrote that the things above were to be the goal and desire, just as Jesus had taught for the believers. Read Matthew 6:21,For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Where is your treasure? Is your treasure on earth or in Heavenly things? Read Proverbs 2:4-5,If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. If we depend upon God, and seek to him for wisdom, he will enable us.This is a promises(His word). The word tells us in Luke 14:12-14,Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just (repayed). Read Colossians 2:3,In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Did you get that? In whom ? Our Lord and Savor! Read Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.Jesus offered man something very special. He invited man to become his personal disciple.Jesus said, come, follow me, taking up the cross. Read Mark 10:21, Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Thank you God for your word.Amen !

The word for today - Walking!

Good morning,
The word for today - Walking!

Read Ephesians 5:15-16,See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Let's look at 1 John 2:5-6, But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. The first thing you must do is plant a seed ( the word). You have to get the soil ready before you can plant. You have to cultivate the soil to get it ready. Once you plant the seed, there are things that you have to do to get it to grow. The Word of God is a seed, so the same principle that you used to get a harvest  would apply in the spiritual realm. You plant the seed (word) in your heart, and then you water it with the word. The next thing you do is to speak it out because when you speak it out it sets the growing process in motion, then you continue watering with the Word until you see it manifest in your life. Read Ephesians 3:17, That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. There is something you must do, You have to allow the Holy Spirit to show you and guide you, because it cannot be done by the human thinking. You must look through your spiritual eyes and see that God recreated your spirit in the image of love and the only way you can look through spiritual eyes is by allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you.Your mind will give you all sorts of reasons why you should not walk in love. It takes a renewing of the mind. Look at Ephesians 5:8,For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. Look at Galatians 5:22-25,But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Yoke !

Good morning,
The word for today is- Yoke!

Read Matthew 11:29-30,Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Jesus is telling us to learn about Him. Let's look at 2 Corinthins 6:14,Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Let's read John 14:23,24;  Jesus answered and said unto him,"If a man loves me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him.  He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent Me." We are not to be hearers only, but doers of His word.  Surely Jesus came to manifest the righteousness and truth of God so that we have reason and hope in our faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.  In the book of John 8:31-32, Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. In the dictionary the meanings of abide are:  to wait for;  to endure without yeilding;  to bear patiently;  to accept without objection;  to remain stable or fixed in a state;  to continue in a state;  to conform to;  to acquiesce in. We are told to abide in His word, if we want to 'know the truth' that sets us free. We have an invitation.  The invitation is come to me, and that means a choice is made. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Strong!

Good morning,
The word for today is - Strong!

Let's look at what did the Lord say, read Deuteronomy 31:6,Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Also,Deuteronomy 31:23,The Lord gave this command to Joshua son of Nun: "Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you."When your in a Spiritual fight put on your armor! We can only be strong in the Lord’s power, it is God’s armor that protects us, and our battle is against spiritual forces of evil in the world. So read Ephesians 6:10-12,Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against lesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Read Deuteronomy 20:1-4,When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you. When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. He shall say: "Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." Did you get that? You are a winner! You have the victory! Let's look at the command from God, read Joshua 1:9,Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord  your God will be with you wherever you go."It says whereever you go! He is always with us. Thank you God!  Read Joshua 10:25,Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight."There is something with must do. Read 1 Chronicles 22:13,Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.  Then and only then will you have success! Amen ! Read 1 Chronicles 28:20,David also said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished. Did you get that? He (the Lord)  will not forsake thy! Thank you God for your word. Amen!

The word for today is- Expectations!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Expectations!
Expectation is an act or state of expecting, hope, anticipation;  something expected.God does expect things of us; A strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future. God’s expectations are specific; respect, follow, love, serve, and obey Him, live according to His will, loving Him, worship Him with all your heart and soul. What is the Expectations for us God's people? To be more like Him ! We have something in us that God gave us,the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is dwelling within, we have power, which we did not have before. God’s people as believers, leaders, preachers, teachers, counselors, overseers and intercessors, must perform spiritual surgery and apply healing balm to the souls of God's people on a daily basis. We have accountability to the Lord for the spiritual watchcare of the believers for whom the Good Shepherd laid down His own life for.   We must train and prepare ourselves  and others for this race. Paul pictures the believers life like a race in Philippians 3:14,I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Also, in a race there is a method to winning.   We should expect the Holy Spirit to move in our lives, to help us be like Christ. We in turn must allow God’s Spirit to operate in our life, by submitting to His will.  To know His will, we must approach the throne of God in prayer, seeking God’s will.  To know God’s will means we need to read God’s Word, which communicates His will.  We have to understand God does not require perfection for salvation, Paul like us did not attain perfection in this life, it was his goal.  Perfection should be our goal, but we will only reach it at the resurrection.  Therefore, in this life, we must always remember sanctification is an ongoing process, lets not give up when we fail, but press on. Run !  Read Philippians 3:12-14 ,Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, our expectations should not be too high. Why? There is the personal battle within, as the new man wars against the old man. There is a spiritual battle without, as Satan tries to prevent the advance of the Kingdom of God, by warring with the Lord’s army, His people, the saints.  We need to understand the battle at hand, our battle is a spiritual battle, but its still a battle. One key to victory, is understanding the battle at hand, and being engaged in the conflict.  We have the weapons to wage war; we need to learn how to use them. When we choose to live a defeated life, we get the results of our choosing.  Satan is our enemy; Jesus called him a liar from the beginning.  Satan wants us to wallow in our past, rather then to rejoice in our future.  If he can keep us focused on our failings, so we don’t try to advance in our spiritual walk. Read Romans 8:1-2,There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. What is your Expectations for your life? Our goal should be to live the victorious life, whatever our circumstances may be.So, read  I Corinthians 9:24-27, Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.  And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Thanks!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Thanks !

First thing is we must give God, thanks! We thank you Lord for waking us up this morning and starting our day, Psalm 118:24, This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.Read 1 Thessalonians 5:18,In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. It says in everything, We are to rejoice in Him ( Jesus). Read Colossians 3:17,And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. We must do all things to the Glory of God. The believers  should always do good to others. The believers should be loving, and compassionate towards all. If your not ,then you have some work to do!  Let's look at Psalm 150:6,Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Why? Read Colossians 1:16,For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. All things being created by Him, were created for him; being made by his power, they were made according to his pleasure, and for his praise and glory. We shall see the glory of God's plan of redemption, and rejoice in the hope set before us. Do you not know the Love Christ has for us? He loves us so that, He laid down His life for us. Christ died for us, the believers. Why would you not give thanks? He tells us in Psalm 100,Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Did you get that? For His goodness and mercy for  us, worship Him in spirit and truth. If people withhold their praise to God, the stones will have to cry out. Let's look at Luke 19:39-40, And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. Did you get that? They are asking the Master, the greatest teacher that ever walk the earth, Jesus ! Are you thankful to God, for all He has done for you? Somethings God has done for us; God's guidance and instruction for us read Psalm 16:7,48:14,71:17; When you were in trouble, God heard your cries for help read Psalm 18:6;22:24,For not staying angry with us and not giving up on us read Psalm 30:5; For listening to your prayers read Psalm 28:6,66:20,116:1-2; We must thank Him ! How ? We must do it with your mouth, not just your mind, Psalm 51:15,63:5,66:8,119:171-172;  The key is this,Do it with all your heart, read Psalm 9:1,86:12,111:1,138:1. Also the word tells us read Psalm 22:23, Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.  Do, we understand who God really is and what he has done? If so then, Lift up your hands to Him. Read Psalm 63:4-5,Thus will I (Sheila) bless thee while I (Sheila) live: I (Sheila) will lift up my hands in thy name.My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips. When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Read Psalm chapter 63 He is your Helper! Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Dream!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Dream!

Look at Numbers 12:6, And he said,Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.God spoke to his prophets in dreams and visions and Jesus spoke in parables.  Why ? Read Mark 4:10; Luke 10:21-22.The Bible makes it clear that there is a difference between messages from God and those from the Satan or demons. Only those with " truth" are fortunate to interpret the messages they receive through dreams. It is also not correct to interpret every dream as messages from God. The word dose tell us  in Acts 2:17,  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. God still communicates with us through dreams. But, sometimes dreams are just that, a dream. It is very important that we search the scriptures out.  You should always seek the counsel from the Lord and His Word by His Spirit through prayer and reading the Word of God. There should be confirmation from deep down in your spirit as well as from the Word of God. Dreams reveal but do not condemn. Their goal is to preserve life, not to destroy it, read Job 33:13-18. Never make a major decision in your life based only on a dream without receiving additional confirmation from the other ways that God speaks to us and guides us in His word. Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Order!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Order!

Let's look at 1 Corinthians 14:40,Let all things be done decently and in order. All things! Read Colossians 1:16-17,For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.Did you get that? All things comes from Him ( God). Also, all things being created by Him, were created for him; being made by his power, they were made according to his pleasure, and for his praise and glory. For His glory! Look at Romans 12:2,And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Not your will, but the will of God! Let's look at Isaiah 42,Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles. Biblical unity is found and maintained by studying the truth and adhering to it ,because the basis of biblical unity is not the quest for unity with men but unity with God. Once that is achieved, by grace and obedience, then we naturally and automatically have unity with others who are similarly obedient. Read  Ephesians 5:11, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Let us continue to build spiritually minded men and women through the Bible by teaching and following the Word of God.  Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Tomorrow!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Tomorrow!

Let's look at Matthew 6:25-34,Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Did you get that? The word from God tells us ,Take no thought for your life. Why? Because God will provide for us. All you need to do is seek the kingdom of God first. Read Matthew 6:25, Jesus tells us “do not worry" that  means “stop being anxious.” Read Phil. 4:6, Paul tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything.” Why? Because, worrying can damage your health.  Here are some of the dangers of worrying too much. Medical experts tell us that prolonged worrying or anxiety can lead to serve physical problems.  It can produce (ulcers, headaches, backaches, change of blood pressure, heart attacks, and depression).  Worrying can become crippling if it is not properly controlled.  Worrying can disrupt our spiritual productivity. When worries consume our thoughts, we tend to focus only on those worries.  By doing this, we tend to leave the Lord and His Will out of our lives.  We find little time for prayer; reduced time in Bible study; and reduced interest in church worship services. Read 1 Peter 5:6-7,Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Read 2 Peter 3:9,The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Look at Isaiah 46:10,Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:Everything that happens to us in this life whether good or bad will work for our eternal benefit.Read Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. God is in control of our life ! Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Fulfilled !

Good morning,
The word for today is- Fulfilled!
Let's look at James 2:23,And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Did you get that? He (Jesus) calls him friend. Let's look at Matthew 1:22-23,“Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us”. One thing Jesus had come to do is found in Matthew. Read Matthew 5:17,"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." When,Jesus died, the law was fulfilled. The Old Covenant and its law then ended. We fulfill a contract by completing what we are obliged to do under the contract. Once we do this, we have fulfilled the contract, and it is done. Read Romans 8,The righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit of Jesus. Jesus' last words on the Cross were, "It is finished"( it's fulfilled) look at  John 19:30. He had done everything His Father had sent Him to do look at John 17:4. Look at John 17:8,"For I have given unto them the words which thou have gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst sent me. If you look carefully at Jesus' words you will see He didn't teach His followers that they would go to heaven. Jesus taught that the Kingdom belonging to God and originating in heaven, which is where he would go to prepare it. Also,Jesus taught about the new heaven ( the kingdom) it would come to this earth and be established here when He returned in glory. Jesus spoke repeatedly of the Kingdom of God which would be established at His second coming. In the Lord's prayer believers are told by Jesus to pray for this; Matthew 6:9-10,"After this manner therefore pray ye:Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."  Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Perfection!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Perfection!
Can we attain perfection? Let's look at Hebrews 6:1,Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God. The  process toward eternal life is a matter of achieving perfection. Living all the commandments guarantees total forgiveness of sins and assures one of exaltation through the perfection which comes by complying with the formula the Lord gave us. Being perfect means to triumph over sin. This is a mandate from the Lord. He is just and wise and kind. He would never require anything from his children which was not for their benefit and which was not attainable. Perfection therefore is an achievable goal. God invites us to participate in the kingdom of heaven.Come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your heart, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, then by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in no way deny the power of God.Jesus is full of grace and truth.  The fullness of the Godhead dwelled in Him. The Scripture also says that the Spirit of God was given to Him without measure. Read John 3:34, For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God:for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.  It says that we have received a portion“of” His fullness.  We get a portion of His fullness, and of His grace.  Individually, we will never reach the point of having all of His fullness in our lives.  However, that does not mean that we are not holy, and that we are not partaking of the divine nature.Read Hebrews 7:19,"For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God."Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is- Greater!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Greater!
John 10:29,My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. Jesus is telling us He has the Divine power to hold us.  Let's look at John13:16,Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.The Lord is telling us,He has people in the world that are his own; he has purchased them, and paid dear for them, and he has set them apart for himself. We have somuch to be thankful for,Nothing can separate the believer from the love of Christ. All whom Christ owns and saves, he justifies and sanctifies.Thank you Jesus!John15:13,Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Now that is something to think about? Would you do that for a friend? What kind of love is this? The word tells us greater love hath no man, not one! As the Father loved Christ, who was most worthy, so he loved his disciples, who were unworthy. All that love the Saviour should continue in that love to him and to others, and take all occasions to show it to others. Christ's love to us should direct us to love each other. We should personally have come to know that there is really no greater joy in life, than to have the Lord God as the object of all your desire; to have a will in your heart that is totally given to Him.  There is no feeling of joy or happiness greater than this. Anyone who is trusting in their own work for salvation, or who could care less about who Jesus is and what He did, will have to stand alone and be judged by God, on Judgment Day.  They will have to bear their own sins and be judged, and everyone who is judged, will be found guilty and will have to bear the wrath of God's righteous indignation upon themselves. God promises that all who come to Him believing in Jesus and trusting in His work, will be received by God and never have to be judged. Why because Jesus was judged in our place already, on the cross! It is only because God is so perfectly good and kind and loving, that he did not allow us to be completely separated from Him in the beginning.  He still blesses us with good things in this world, but since the world has been separated from Him it is now under a curse ,there is death, and pain, and sorrow; everything wears out and fades away, nothing lasts forever, but the word of God. God has provided a way of escape for the believer, the blood of Jesus!  Because He Himself is Love, He has made a way for us to be saved from the certain consequence of eternal damnation. All who are made righteous in the sight of God, are made holy by the grace of God.The blood of Christ, and the washing of regeneration, can take away all things.Thank you God for your word. Amen !

The word for today is - Ashamed!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Ashamed!

Let's first look at  2 Timothy chapter 2,Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We all need sound doctrine. The last half of chapter 2  surrounds one theme and that is the theme of "Not being ashamed of Christ." Let's look at Paul,Paul knows he's at the end of his own life and ministry, but the ministry must go on and he knows that Timothy has to carry on the message. Paul is deeply concerned that Timothy will be able to be used for the generation to come. So, Paul tells Timothy in chapter 2 verse 2 where Paul writes,"To Timothy, my dearly beloved son:Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord". He is saying, You therefore my son be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The whole epistle is a call for strength in spiritual service against opposition. Obviously Paul's heart is burdened. Paul's heart is deeply concerned. We have to be strong and to do our spiritual duty no matter what comes against us. Also, you need to know that, Peter was ashamed of Christ but when he got his life straightened out, he was very useful. In other words, Jesus says everyone who openly, unashamedly, unabashedly with conviction speaks My name before men, I'll speak their name before My Father. Read Matthew chapter 10,In other words, if you'll claim Me, I'll claim you. If you don't claim Me, I will not claim you. Verse 33, "But whosoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny Him before My Father which is in heaven." Now we're dealing with a very serious issue here. This is a matter of salvation. If you are continuously and constantly ashamed to confess Christ, then He will be ashamed to confess you before His Father. You don't belong to Him if He doesn't belong to you. If you don't acknowledge Him, He will not acknowledge you. And the implication here is that there's a price to pay for that. Who do you love? Verse 37,"He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me and He that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that taketh not his cross, and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for My sake shall find it." Let's look at Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Did you get that? Everyone that believeth in Him ! We go from faith to faith, not faith to works. Read Ephesians 2:8-9,For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. This is a free gift from God, he prepared us by blessing us with the knowledge of his will. Okay, what is the will of God? The will of God is His word!  You will have a test ,the test is whether we are able to stand on the word or fall into the things of the world. You have to love the good Shepherd more than anything or anyone in your life, we are His sheep.Who are you following? Read  John 21:19-22,This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. Whatever it is that you are doing, whatever enablement the Spirit of God has placed within you, you are doing it for the extension of the Kingdom of Christ and the glory of His name. Thank you God for your word.Amen !

The word for today is - Blessing!

Good morning,
The word for today is- Blessing!
Read Proverbs 10:22,The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.What comes from God is blessed.Read Proverbs 11:28,He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. This means in Him (Jesus)you will grow, outside of Him(Jesus) you will fall. Let's look at Proverbs 22:9,He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor. This verse is telling us that, He that seeks to help others shall be blessed. Read Proverbs 28:20,A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. The true way to be happy, is to be holy and honest.Read Matthew 6:24,No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. We should carefully examine our leading principles by the word of God, with prayer for the teaching of his Spirit. A person may do some service to two masters, but he devotes himself to the services of one.Who do you service (love)? Who is your first love?  God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters oppose each other, no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it, must despise God; he who loves God, must give up the things of the world. Our true  happiness is in Christ Jesus. There is nothing here on earth compared with the treasures in heaven. If your looking for a blessing read Isaiah 1:19, "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land." If your looking to be blessed, read Joshua 1:8,"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."Look at Proverbs 16:8,"Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without righteousness."Did you get that? you must be in Him in order to be blessed! Thank you God for your word. Amen !
